The surreal concept of neutrality in Warcraft {WoW}

Mar 21st 2012 12:53PM I think all the neutral factions that are made up alliance and horde would be better served with some quest that involved some malcontents or at least end with faction leaders redrawing old lines.
When I say malcontents, I'd prefer them to be former npcs that were wronged in earlier zones. Something where there is emotion for why they are causing problems now, but where they are going about it wrong.

Breakfast Topic: Mists of Pandaria beta's lack of NDA {WoW}

Mar 21st 2012 8:54AM I'm interested in Locks. Warlock is my main and I typically play either destro or demo. Since affliction is the only spec staying even remotely the same, I'm a bit concerned. I've never gotten the hang of affliction or I've always been able to out dps aff on destro or demo. I'm wary of my two strong specs changing so greatly.

Six gold-making macros that will save you hours {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 3:47PM postal will still open open 50 messages a minute. Sometimes I tell it to open and walk away, so it will grab everything while I'm working on something else. Very useful when dealing with lots of out bidding, but I need to find a way to have it 'ding' /make a sound when my bags are full.

As for having to click a gazillion times to send, yes, but I use adibags to stack everything together. I'm not hunting through my bags clicking. I'm alt clinking several times in a row on the same spot on the screen and instantly sending the emails for the same cost. The person receiving still gets 12 messages instead of 1 with 12 items. Given how I open mail (see above), isn't as big an issue.

Feb 24th 2012 2:45PM Re selling gray items, I use auctioneer already and it comes with such a feature. It also allows you to setup rules for non-gray items to auto-vendor.

Re mailing, maybe if I was mailing the same thing every day a macro would make sense, but I just (shift?alt?ctrl?) click mail all my items to my alts. The cost is the same whether I mail 4 items or 1 item. I use postal, so I grab all my mail in mass.

Feb 24th 2012 11:36AM regarding servers: depending on what you are looking for I found this to be helpful:
http://theunderminejournal.com/

I recommend looking at the AHs of the servers you are interested in. If the 'hot items' are cloth or basic food items, you can assume people are leveling on the server. If the 'hot items' are odd specialty items, you can assume people are at max level with gold to spend. If the volume on the server is very high but is mostly of leveling goods, I'll assume it is a new server or recently was listed as a server for new players.

I tend to find the most interesting servers are the high or full servers with the hot items being specialty items. Basically plenty of max level toons out doing stuff.

Breakfast Topic: How and why did you leave your previous guild? {WoW}

Feb 8th 2012 12:27PM It happens a lot. A key member of the guild changes (whether quits or just a backseat role due to real life) and suddenly the guild is in jeopardy.

It can happen gradually. I like to imagine a brick wall and over the course of a year key bricks are removed until the wall falls.

In my guild, we've decided to step it up and try harder to make things work. We've had some success since our intervention guild meetings. Only time will tell. I hope our successes will keep people around, but I think once it gets to a certain point, it takes a lot more work to keep a patchwerk wall up than it does to start a new one.

Profanity filters, homophobic slurs, and Blizzard's shaky relationship with the LGBT community {WoW}

Jan 25th 2012 9:56AM Turning off raid comments wouldn't stop them. I use the /ignore in LFR/LFD to eliminate my queuing with them ever again.

Last night in LFR after madness, there was a jerk that accessed the head to prevent loot from going out. I had to wait 30 minutes to get my loot. All the vote kicks failed (no clue why.) Needless to say, he's on my /ignore list now.

Jan 25th 2012 9:23AM Re LFR comments> I am extremely trigger happy on the /ignore in LFR and LFD.

Breakfast Topic: Has the Raid Finder changed the way you raid? {WoW}

Jan 18th 2012 9:03AM As others have mentioned, LFR has changed my alts lives. I valor cap on a few alts and my main every week instead of just one alt and my main.

I'm a firm believer in muscle memory, so I think dps might be suffering because of this split focus. That said from an ergo stand point, it probably is better to be mixing things up for my hands.
