Feb 26th 2012 2:27PM If I remember correctly, the devs said we'd come to a point while leveling our Pandaren in MoP where we choose our allegiance to either the Horde our Alliance. Does this mean we'll be able to mail things to these characters from our alts before they choose? Meaning, can both my Orc and Human send them mail before they choose a faction?
Jan 28th 2012 12:13PM Q4Q - Is there any lore related to the Path of the Titans in Dragonblight. I know Blizz abandoned plans for a type of mini-profession or something with the same name, but I'm curious about the path itself. Why did it exist, and more importantly, WHERE did it go? It's almost like it was headed straight out into the ocean. Was there another island out there? Maybe a dock for a Titan-esque spacecraft?? I just like to sit at the edge of the path sometimes and wonder...
And also... What's with the leftover junior-titan roaming the path? Did I miss the quest he was involved with or something? Why does he exist in-game?

Aug 5th 2011 10:29PM My Balance Druid was my first (and truly only) love. He was my first toon, leveled to 60 as balance, ignorant to the reasoning as to why it took so damn long... But I love how he's back, with a vengence. I didn't mind that his relevence suffered during WOTLK. After all, he was a druid. Lore said DKs and Pallys ruled that Xpac. I agreed. Now it's time for Shaman and Druids to shine. Unfortunately, shamans aren't getting the love they deserve, but my chicken is quite happy. Hopefully the shaman will get their due, afterall... This is THEIR expansion. We'll see I guess... Anyway, i forgot where I was going with this post. Yay chickens. Mad love to the shamans. I really love my meter placement in LFD. Happy hunting to all
Jul 9th 2011 12:42PM Here's a question... What exactly ever happened to the lost art of buffing fellow combatants? I've been running the FL dailies since they began on a few toons, and in spite of all the MoW, Kings, and other buffs I toss around, I've yet to see just ONE reciprocated. No one, nobody, nada... I remember doing the Isle of Q'D dailies and buffs were a constant. It was almost rude NOT to help your quasi-team members.
Same applies to meeting fellow players in the wild while leveling. Why not toss a buff to a fellow traveler? Just never happens anymore... Now I realize that a lot of buffs have been homogenized across classes, but it's still just a simple, friendly way to say "hello, and good luck!"
Anyone have any reasoning as to why the decline in buffs outside of instances and raids?
May 2nd 2011 7:45PM Anyone have any suggestions on a proper way to apply through the GF? Is there a character limit for requests as well? I've only applied to one guild using this feature, and my request simply "disappeared." Does that mean I was rejected, ignored, contemplated, etc...? It's difficult for me to formulate a request without sounding cheesy... (longtime player here, first time caller) I've played for 4+ years as a DPS and successfully raided my way right the heart of Naxx. Now I'm wanting to earn my stripes as a tank, and I'm just having difficulty expressing my inexperienced experience so to speak... I'd love to find a way to communicate a proper, somewhat formal request.
Jan 14th 2011 3:09PM Please don't take this as an insult Basil, but I love this column in spite of the fact that I've never actually learned anything new from it. I always expect to read some new "trick" and I'm always treated to just plain old common sense. Nothing in this column has ever been truly revealing about any market. And that's why I love it (i think). People crying about trade secrets being given away are just silly. Every week you give valuable info, and if more folks used this common sense approach, we'd see much more market stability. I'd love to see the day when people realize you shouldn't routinely sell items for less than the cost of the mats. Big tip right there! ;)
Dec 20th 2010 2:20PM I recently joined a guild because I felt as if Blizzard forced me and other solo players like myself. The "perks" offered to guilds give guilded players such an advantage over solo players that any player with common sense HAS to join or get left in the dust. Even with 310 flying, i can't out-farm someone with 310+guild speed bonus. I can't gain rep and the gear awards that come with them as quickly, hence I get behind, and once you're behind it's difficult to catch up... And then there's the heirloom pieces... I know i'm crying here, and I'm sorry, but it's just frustrating for a player to feel as if he's forced to do something. Blizz has always been OUTSTANDING at balancing this game for both solo and guilded players, and now it's obviously tilted one way.
Dec 12th 2010 2:16PM Just last night I was pleasantly surprised by the "Joust" quest in Hyjal. It took me a second to get the reference, then it dawned on me and i was laughing my butt off flapping around the cave.... I ended up just sitting on a ledge smiling and thinking to myself, "This is why I love this game." Quests like that make me put with all the trade chat, trolling, QQ and grief - just for tiny little gems like that. Great job Blizz, keep 'em coming!
