Jan 21st 2011 4:13PM mana reduction* (no -)
Jan 21st 2011 4:11PM From a WoW Insider article (http://wow.joystiq.com/2011/01/14/the-middle-of-the-pack-is-a-fine-place-to-be/#continued) about the state of the dps at this moment, it seems Frost definitely does NOT need a direct damage nerf, being 6k under the top dps spec (Survival hunters)... It needs a slight buff, if anything.
But poor arcane at 10k LESS than the top dps spec DEFINITELY needs this mana-reduction! Yay!
Jan 5th 2011 5:15PM I definitely think it would be an excellent idea to somehow have average ilvl scores for both specs. I was in a Heroic Grim Batol the other day and had a tank in mostly greens who didn't understand that it's all your gear, not just what you're wearing, and thought that he was fine. It turns out his healing set was appropriate level and his tank gear was... not. Even when he learned this though, he said the dungeon tool had let him queue, so it should be fine. He wanted to tank, not heal, and his buddies kept saying "can't you give this guy a chance" and healers kept saying "no, he's in mostly greens, that's just... not possible to tank a heroic in." After 20 minutes and 7 healers coming and going, I finally decided the 50 min queue for a dps, at that time, was worth it. I suggested he should heal the rest of the run, or go build his tank gear and come back, apologized for not sticking around, and left.
Jan 5th 2011 4:57PM Not only did they all get rolled together, but they have prismatic gem slots now. Wands don't get gem slots either... (not beyond i277 anyway)
Jan 4th 2011 10:02PM I've been leveling my gnome priest mostly through questing to get to experience the new quests, but I do some dungeons to get to know my job as a healer too. CC may not be something in lower level dungeons, but learning how to play your class definitely is! The mentality of just running in, attacking everything, and just chain pulling without letting the healer drink unless they speak up (and even then, sometimes the tank keeps going anyway, then dies and complains that I, the healer, can't heal). While other people yell and belittle people who don't know how to play their class. Guys, we're not even halfway to max level, why are you complaining we don't know how to play yet? It's probably most of these people's first times in a dungeon on this character, give them a break, please!
Jan 4th 2011 9:57PM I haven't looked at it yet, but I hear there's a rating system associated with the gearscore/playerscore addon.
Jan 4th 2011 9:47PM I agree with Snuzzle, you can NOT assume a THING! Even in normals! I was in a Lost City PUG and the tank was just pulling without saying anything or asking anything. Up until the point when we wiped on High Prophet Barim, I thought everyone knew what was going on because no one seemed to be doing anything wrong and no one asked anything. Afterward, the healer was complaining that this hunter was standing in stuff too long. He said "I don't know the fight :( sorry." Which is when I realized that he hadn't been there before and he hadn't needed to really know much about anything on the first couple bosses. So I told him to not be ashamed and that he should probably speak up when he has a question. I think people asking questions and learning the fight is definitely better than wiping on even a normal boss...
Jan 4th 2011 9:34PM I would love to be in a run with your guild group! Most times when I enter a dungeon and see that 3 or 4 people out of 5 are in the same guild, I know I'm going to get kicked. They don't talk to me. They talk in vent or guild chat. Then kick me without saying why. One time, it was even before the first pull! Another time, my friend got kicked because the tank wanted some dps gear and didn't want to change the paladin dps rolling against him for it.
Some times I think guilds just kick people for fun. "Haha, another dps has to wait another 40 minutes to get into another group that they're just going to get kicked from and have to wait ANOTHER 40 minutes. We rock!"
Jan 3rd 2011 1:56PM Yep, drooling alright.
Jan 3rd 2011 1:55PM Thanks for a wonderful Winter's Veil WoW Insider!
