The aesthetic consequences of new character models {WoW}

Jan 23rd 2012 7:43PM I agree with others that a polish would be better than a change. More polygons, better textures, and please, for the love of god more choices, some of the faces/hairdo possibilities are so limited it's ridiculous.

There's lots I don't like though, like every horde male/female besides the goblins (though every male goblin has the same face). I have tried rolling a troll, an orc, a tauren, a belf, an undead, they all got deleted cause just, no. I can't look at those models for too long. Though if they'd just get more polygons and some polish and choices, that would be a world of improvement, many people have their quirky attachments, I lol'd so hard at some opinions in these comments, all win goes to "the human female's boobs are too big", rofl.

My quirky opinions: Human male jump animation looks awful, night elfs walking animation looks like they got a stick up their butt, there is so much wrong with worgen males head or gear sticking out or in like mounts and weapons/shields/cloaks they'd better fix that too at some point cause WTF, and I HATE the 2handed flip animation.

Anyway with the way blizzard has been recycling and slacking this horrible expansion I don't expect the "new models" soon, they already announced more recycling for MOP with 2 dungeons and I'm already trying to calm down over how awful pandas will look on most mounts if they couldn't get it right with the worgen.

Addon Spotlight: Grab Bag 7, probably the best grab bag {WoW}

Jan 19th 2012 9:00PM They definitely have actually, from the patch 4.3 notes:

Using #showtooltip in a macro should now cause the action bar icon to become highlight at the appropriate times.

My Obliterate and every other macro is highlighting just fine for me.

Breakfast Topic: What would be your victory music? {WoW}

Jan 19th 2012 11:39AM Machine head - Bulldozer, tho i'll play it manually since the addon is too quiet for me.

Arcane Brilliance: Guide to leveling a mage in Cataclysm {WoW}

Dec 18th 2011 7:59PM "If you're into pvp, frost is definitely going to be the best option for battlegrounds until very high levels, and even then it's still a great option."

Even then it's still a great option? it's the best option lol, frost mages are still the most op class in pvp this entire expansion lol.

WoW Moviewatch: Dungeon Dan Makes Dungeons Fun Again {WoW}

Dec 14th 2011 6:22PM rofl that was hilarious!!! I so want GTFO to use dungeon dan instead of the beep haha tho i will be standing in the fire on purpose if they do tbh lol!

The Queue: In which Adam recently discovered The Big Bang Theory {WoW}

Dec 7th 2011 11:29AM I just wanna say that the revamp of Trade District in Stormwind for Cata was the worst of all. It's so small and so laggy I'm only there when I need the bank/ah when i'm closest to it and regret it each time. It's a goddamn tragedy. If it wasn't for dwarf district i'd have to hatch a plot to destroy the orc statue in front of blizz hq cause goddammit compare Orgrimmar's main hang spot to trade district and just feel nothing but outrage, it's ten times as big ffs.

Totem Talk: Enhancement shaman, welcome to patch 4.3 {WoW}

Dec 4th 2011 8:22PM Loving patch 4.3 across the board, especially with my raiding enh shammy who is now topping the DPS meters often on single target AND aoe fights. I never bothered with the spellpower axe and was still in top 5 of fights where there was no massive target switching or quick aoe phases. AOE is actually fun now instead of this huge flame shock spread juggle and screaming if you accidentally flame shocked a target already FS'd lol! Fire Nova is crazy now.

For Sotton_knite and Pazazu, I think SS is before LL cause it has a shorter cd so allowing more usage out of it. And SS, LL, LB (the sooner you spend it, the sooner you get new MS stacks) all do more dmg than FS UE higher in priority, though I do often open with UE & FS as I'm running towards a boss.

4.3 is awesome for so many reasons and totally redeeming Cataclysm for me.

The Queue: Universal {WoW}

Nov 28th 2011 5:09AM Stargate Universe lol: watch nothing happen and see how it makes every character feel, stay tuned for more nothing.

5 reasons you should love Cataclysm {WoW}

really buddy? really?

5 reasons you should love Cataclysm {WoW}

Nov 22nd 2011 6:31AM Ok very sorry but first of all roflmao at transmog & void storage. Yeah it's ok, if it's one of the five reasons I shouldn't cuss and spit on the floor when cataclysm is mentioned, sorry that won't do lol. Transmog is recycling and Void storage is bankspace, lulz!

What I like about cata:

Flying in old world is actually what I do like, it's just conventient. The only world pvp I ever saw in wotlk was in barrens, and hordies still come to the gates of stormwind lol. And as for flying, I used to spend loads of time fighting hordies in wintergrasp flying around the keep after the fight was done, and that was fun too.

New questlines, leveling a toon is more fun now, even though it's way too easy and fast. Just like the instances really. It's a terrible preperation for endgame and that really really shows. I also really liked Gilneas and Lost Isles starting zones. But a crying shame one can't be visited and the other is empty.

Goblins, although the character creation should have had some more diversity I really like most of everything else about them.

What I don't like about cata:

Phasing, visit the huge immersive world of warcraft where your friends are, phased.

The rushed Worgen, cloaks and swords and shields sticking through eachother and the back. Helmets, I think 3 don't look terrible on a Worgen head. The female laugh being /chicken at the start. Sitting silly as hell on mounts. The two-handed male strike where they flip over. Such a disappointment.

Dungeons, way too hard for pugs, and the recycling. I used to do dungeons for fun in wotlk over and over, I certainly am not anymore, this may be more with blizzard's bad preparing of carebears for heroic instances but still, they could have turned it down a notch. I used to be in a guild where a few players carried the rest cause they were great people but not so good at the game, that died in a heartbeat in cata cause finishing a dungeon was like a feat of strength after more than an hour of wiping. Then Zandalari came and it's like, the first cata wipes were only a setback lol. I really really hope the new dungeons are a bit more forgiving for baddies, I've tried two on the PTR, one had annoying patrols and the other one was buggy as all hell - one week before the first release tagged build lol. Oh dear. Not to mention some of it is recycled environments, again.

The new battlegrounds, again, more a problem with the players, for some reason an alli bg pug that isn't completely stupid in Battle for Gilneas or Twin Peaks is too rare. Also, Tol Barad can be ok now, lots of big battles but a stupid system, I just miss the epic feel of Wintergrasp so much and q'ing for it now playing 5 vs 5 is a crying shame.

Archeology, hey it's as boring as fishing only you have to keep moving, and flying, but oh there's gold to be gotten, sure, mine for the same time as you've done archeology and say that again. And the rewards, every single other archeologist has them.

Almost having to be in a guild for these perks, all my alts are not in a guild and I'm keeping it that way, I guess I'm not very social but I don't like a second trade chat on my screen constantly.

Portals gone, I miss Dalaran, it's no longer lagaran so makes it even more bittersweet. I think having zero incentive and a long travel time to visit Darnassus and Ironforge is a crying shame. And I'm so tired of seeing Stormwind now... especially Trade District, worst remake ever, it's like lag in a little tin box, compare to Orgrimmar's gathering places it's stupid how big the difference in sizes are.

The Zones, all spread out, underwhelming zones. Compare Twilight Highlands to Icecrown, ugh? While Icecrown Citadel stood as an imposing fortress, the Bastion of Twilight is a damn portal. Uldum, where's the gold and the imposing beautiful structures I was hoping to see. And mummies! lol. Deepholm was impressive the first time but the monotone color of it made it boring quick. Vashj'ir good to do on one alt and never come back. And Mount Hyjal, for a huge part in the lore, I found it very underwhelming as well. The terribad raggy & deathwing animation there didn't help lol.

I can't wait for MOP and monks, it's looking really great so far and I hope it redeems wow for me.
