Nov 7th 2008 9:52AM This is a super idea! It won't stop anyone from raiding and provides some cash for raiders and helps causal people out who can't raid but can farm a lot of cash. I mean to be honest, the AH has been dreadfully boring in what is available.
But then again, I prefer gear in games like Diablo where trading is fun and gear is way more interesting. I like wow for other aspects other than gear.
One thing I have noticed is that people who raid a lot tend to be poor. As a casual, I have 15k gold stored away and nothing to spend it on... bought all my epic flying skills/mounts.
The new BOE's in AH should help out both raiders and casuals. raiders will still have access to way more gear, but just remember that some people choose family responsibilities over WoW raiding.
Nov 4th 2008 4:45PM This may not be the best possible fix for arena but 50 to 80% less mana for shifting certainly helps.
12% less dmg in 2v2 for bear form sounds ok too, for that matter, but of course there are a lot of talents to choose from.
May 4th 2007 1:27PM I will probably never see any raid content in WoW but I do have access to gladiator gear and thus far it seems to be as good as tier 5 gear... well for pvp anyway. I play on a casual 3v3 team and should land my third gladiator piece next week. I've actually been quite pleased with TBC and Blizzards attempts to provide "good enough" gear for casual players.

Actually, healers require a pocket dps'r.
Mar 6th 2007 3:10PM Cormak;
Granted druids and warlocks fair better in 2v2 and 3v3 duels, however, Blizzard gave the reasoning that 5v5 duels are worth more arena points because they balance their classes for larger group battles.
So, to be fair Blizzard needs to give more arena points for 2v2 and 3v3 duels or buf some classes such that they can perform better in 5v5 duels, perhaps adding skills that benefit a group in PvP.
Mar 6th 2007 2:38PM I have seen posts similar to this befor, but just for the top 20 5v5 teams in a battle group. The rankings were very similar but with paly's on the top and druids on the bottom.
Warriors and Paly's are resilient and are very troublesome to take down in 5v5 arena battle.
Blizzard has commented that they are balancing PvP for group battle (5v5) and not for smaller battles (2v2) so I do expect to see some additional resilience or group support skills added for some classes.
Jan 26th 2007 4:07PM The posts above indicate that most classes can be competitive. IMO Blizzard has balanced end game pvp better than most people think. Warriors in average gera suck but warriors in good gear can be awesome... I've seen the arena videos.
Jan 10th 2007 2:29PM Its fine if legendary or epic spells occur as random drops as long as they are accessible to casual and normal players. Blizzard has made some major effort to make the game competitive for everyone and I doubt they want to reverse this effort.
One option of course, is to make such spells available in dungeons but also as PvP awards. A balance must be maintained, the balance Blizzard promised way back in the original WoW beta before the game was released.
Dec 20th 2006 2:35PM I'm sure the Ahn'Qiraj raid content is great stuff but a huge number of WoW gamers have never seen it. Its good to see that TBC should be more casual friendly with PvP a number of 5-10 player instances.
Dec 20th 2006 9:39AM The problem with buying gold and supporting gold farmers is that those who try to farm "honestly" have a harder time. For instance, on our server (Ligntning's Blade) there are several gold farmers who do nothing but farm herbs/minerals all day long. These players become very efficient and normal gathers are out of luck.
