Jun 15th 2011 5:49PM I hate to say it, but from my brief time in Taint, when they say it's a "mature" guild, they mean #1 (...guild chat mostly consists of talk about sex, drugs and alcohol abuse). Which is very different from how I define mature.
Mar 20th 2011 10:17AM I think they were without a prot writer for so long, that now that they have found one (and a fantastic one at that) that there's a lot of catching up to do.
Mar 7th 2011 10:53PM Right, I laugh when I see things like this: "1. The guild doesn't cater to children." No, actually, if you're talking about things like anal rape all the time, you are acting like children.
I joined a self-proclaimed "mature" guild once. What they meant by mature (nonstop butt-sex jokes) and what I mean by mature are complete opposites.
Jan 30th 2011 5:50PM I'm also tired of people bitching at this writer every week about only doing holy columns. But it is about time that the site found a replacement or guest writer for the other specs. I'm a holy main, but I do like reading about the other specs, and I can understand people's disappointment.
Jan 25th 2011 9:42AM "pull" from a random dps drives me insane.
Nov 17th 2010 1:14PM Awww sad, well thanks for the responses guys.
Nov 17th 2010 11:25AM Has there been any talk of reducing the exp needed to get from 70-80 when Cata comes out? Kind of like how they did for 60-70 when Wrath was released?
Oct 15th 2010 12:09PM @Kunikenwad!
Lol, I love that.
"Why tell anyone you're black? You know there are racists out there, you're just asking for it. So they can hear it in your accent? If you're black you just shouldn't use vent and hide yourself!"
"What, you can't come to a raid because it's Hanukkah? Don't let people know you're a Jew, you know there are anti-semites online, it's your own fault for letting them know."
Of course Trade chat isn't filled with antisemitic or racist language, but I get to read anti-gay slurs daily. All these people telling gays to hide are just trying to protect that status quo.
Oct 15th 2010 11:24AM Let me guess? You're male and straight, so you really don't have to deal with these issues. There's tons of reasons for gender or sexuality issues to be brought up, and most of them have nothing to do with people oversharing online. A lot of women pretend to be guys in game to avoid unwanted attention. A lot of gay people pretend to be straight, or at least, don't mention it, but it comes out.
Personally, I play with my partner nearly 100% of the time I'm online. We don't feel the need to discuss it either, but because we always play together, people have asked, and we've answered honestly. We roll our eyes and ignore the trolls calling people fags or faggots in trade or guild chat, but it's hard. Little kids are the most homophobic demographic, and WoW is full of them.
