Thank you for your explanation. Maybe my misunderstanding is part of the reason i don't like raiding or endgame so much. Tiqu
Nov 23rd 2011 8:19PM What if you are a player like me who doesn't want to raid?
Nov 23rd 2011 6:31PM Curious, it seems that they are removing the ability to "design" your character so that it's different from others. Could be wrong, but that seems to be the directions they are moving towards.
Nov 10th 2011 8:29PM When i get tired of the "same old grind", i turn off the computer and turn on netflix and watch a bunch of MST3K. Not only does it cheer me up, i find that after a couple of days, i'm ready to hit the Friendly Skies of Azeroth Airlines (that's what i call my flying mount)
Nov 10th 2011 4:57AM The fact that one would suggest going from continent to continent supports my point. Blizz has lowered the lvl for mounts & brought flying to Azeroth, no longer to used just the Outlands or Northrend. That is to me indicates that they are aware of the travel times are much too long. In vanilla WoW, do you remember running everywhere until lvl 40? Did that increase your "sense in existing in a world with geography" or just mean that you wasted time traveling. To me, it just increased my "lvling" time, not my enjoyment of the game. I quit looking at the scenery after 10 or so flights\runs.
As for anything south of 1000 needles is trash, one man's trash is another's treasure.
BTW, Thanks for the feedback on my comments. I can never tell if I'm too grumpy or not. Apparently, on this topic, my grumpiness lvl is toxic.
I'm not against seeing everything for the first time so that I can wonder at the size & scope of the game, but come on - 400 flights over the same terrain is just too much.
Nov 9th 2011 8:05PM I still maintain that if you go AFK while traveling, it's taking too long. And, someone might suggest to make going AFK take a little longer - well that's not a solution. I mean, after 500 flights from Darnassus to any city\town south of Thousand Needles is a waste of my time.
Nov 9th 2011 3:18PM I wish that they would put a portal in each major city that a player could use (lvl considered, of course) and just let us pay a few coins. No need looking for mages, no having to spend a lot of time flying from 1 city to another. Let the mages continue to port themselves. So much time is wasted in the game traveling, and of course, we have so many NPCs in the game reminding us, "Time is money!"
Nov 8th 2011 11:51AM I don't have any problems with Winter Veil as it is. Now, a couple of years ago some "Guild" thought it would be funny to camp their largest mounts on top of the presents in IF so that no one else could click them. I think that it was on Madoran realm.
Now, I did and would again have problems with people griefing on any holiday like this. This type of activity stinks of troll breath!
Nov 8th 2011 11:23AM I found the zombie thing unproductive. I happened to have a couple of friends over that day to see Wow - i was trying to sell them on joining. When they couldn't even keep their character alive for more than 10 seconds, and my lvl 41 character was dying all over the place, they said: "No thanks" and have never ventured to look @ Azeroth since then. Maybe a little self control, like in the starting areas might have been good.
Nov 6th 2011 8:31AM Now that you mention it, playing the Legion might be fun. I vote "yes" on this one!
