Jun 24th 2011 12:41PM I was a huge fan of Warcraft II's music and associate it with many happy childhood gaming memories. I was wondering if queue members with a better ear or idea on how music theory works could clue me in on where bits/motifs/easter eggs of the music from Warcraft II appear (if at all) in WoW. I know I've heard a bit in the Caverns of Time dungeons, but I'm wondering if there's more or bits in some of the "modern" themes that I'm not connecting or recognizing.
For example, I know that the new Orgrimmar/Orc/Hellscream theme that debuted with Cataclysm feels so right and "orcy", but I lack the musical background to explain why.
I also never played WC1, so curious if any themes from that got passed along, too, if anyone knows.
