Mar 14th 2012 9:03PM Yeah, its great! Requested that a while back, glad that they finally had time to get it done!
It is the first real new thing since gamescom! Thanks Carbine!
Feb 23rd 2012 11:27AM I prefer p2p modely aince I don't see how they can make a good quality RPG, with frequent updates, new content F2P ...
But then Wow, hasn't had frequent updates in cataclysm ... despite the annoucnement we had as little new content as never before ... no wonder that the masses flee.
Feb 5th 2012 2:40AM I wanted to try out STO, entered some dummy information (but real emailadress - thought they'd mail the download link) to get the client fast. Since I also facerolled the "display name" I asked support if they could delete the "account" as my email was already registered and I could not create a new account.
Their solution worked, they banned the Account ... I wrote support once more but I must have met the worst support of all my 28 years gaming experience (yeah I am 40+) ...
All I wanted to do was to blog a bit about the game, instead I'll never touch any of their games again.
Aug 16th 2009 4:11PM Since they seem to even out the available races for each class I think the classes will be
Worgen Druid, Worgen Hunter, Worgen Warlock, Worgen Shaman, Worgen Warrior
Goblin Paladin, Goblin Mages, Goblin Priest, Goblin Warrior
Nov 11th 2008 3:58AM This will be so nice. I am buying all the cheap mats atm. GPE, Arcane Dust, LPS, Arcane Tomes, Fel Armaments.
Even DK's will need to level their Enchanting and there will be a dire need to get Mats for Mongoose, etc before the new good enchants are available everywhere and affordable.
They will also nee dshoulder enchants before they hit exalted with Sons of Haldir.
In addition there is no ah fee for these Mats so you can leave them on AH forever ;-)
I am already making tons of profits atm, 47k since Patch 3.0, because people emptied their stocks too soon. And on release It will be even more.
Dec 22nd 2006 12:31PM They do not follow those reports. There used to be special Goldfarmer GM's dealing with those issues, but in Europe they closed them down and do all the recognition only by warden.
Its hard to say if someone is a Gold Farmer anyhow ... I mean, You write a ticket about someone farming cash for hours - but many legit players do that also ... of course many Level 1 Chars, few quests completed, funny emailadresses and IngameMails in and outbound with Gold ... Then there are the chatlogs also.
But then its also not illegal to speak a non english language ... Some farmers are just normal nonchinese kids, upping they pocketmoney a bit.
One complete other thing are the guys advertising Gold in Ironforge or Orgrimmar. Those Accounts will usually be closed immediately upon receiving and working on the ticket. With long queues this "immediately" might take a while though ...
Ofc Blizzard can announce soon:"80k new sales of WoW this month" This will keep WoW on top of the sales list, which cannot hurt ;-)
Too bad though that You sometimes see a banned farmer again in the game, since they as everyone else have the right to complain and sometimes get through. Better 1 farmer back in business as an innocent player out of the game.
Dec 22nd 2006 3:18AM I had this sweet little nightelf hunter leveleing in stranglethorn, when a Level 60 came to Gank and corpsecamp me. I had the patiences to endure this for some time, but when it did not stop I decided to bring my PvP specced Main and corpsecamped him, so he knows what it feels like.
Generally I do not like corpsecamping, but I enjoy revenge a lot. If someone is unfair I forget all about ethics and am 10 times more unfair back ;-)
in the above example it meant that I followed the guy everywhere. I killed him in STV, in Grom'Gol (when he started not daring to exit there), also the spirit healer did not save him, neither did other regions, since I killed him in Eastern Plaguelands, in Silithus, in Winterspring, even in Orgrimmar. Even with help of other 60's I always managed to kill him.
I followed this guy 5 hours and killed him at least 50 times ;-) Always when I wanted to stop he kept ganking greys so I figured he did not really "the lessons" and camped him some more.
Generally I am not like that, but if someone is particular annyoing then I need revenge.
Dec 5th 2006 4:35PM And who needs 1,4k Backstabs with 1300 white Damage and 1600 Sinister Strikes ;-)
Well to say Combat Dagger is the way to go is a little biased, while it really depends on the encounter. If you can stay in the back and do your backstab thingy without disturbance, then dagger rogues will own.
Any other encounter, especially with adds sword/mace combat build will be at least on pair with equally equipped dagger rogue.
In TBC there will be more and more fights, where its important to keep adds busy and then the extra stuns will help more than an extra sword swing ...
But as I said there is no best spec, it really all depends on personal playstyle. I love my Load-of-Stamina-Zerg-Pit-Fighter-Mace-Rogue over all and I am glad that WoW Insider took note of us. Thanks.
Dec 5th 2006 9:06AM Well some comment to the post of Tigraine.
Even with Normalization a weapon with more maximum damage will do a higher Sinister Strike than a weapon with the same DPS and lower Maxmimum Damage. Take Gressil and Hungering Cold. 257 Max Damage vs 191 ... but both 73 DPS.
Also Your view on Maces is not very objective. I have been playing Mace Rogue intensively in PvP and it absolutely rocks versus Plate, Mail and Leather classes but the big weakness is cloth classes.
While Dagger Rogue has his strongest attack just once when he is in stealth a mace Rogue can do a steady DPS and is very well in Zerg situations.
I cannot count how many times a mace proc rescued me from a near death situation, how many times it has stopped a fleeing player and how many times it turned a fight.
I just see that I owned sword, dagger rogues, druids, pala's, shammies, warrior, hunter in duels with far inferior gear. And now with white dmage up to 1350 and Sinister Strikes of 1650 damage I really have to say that I do not miss daggers at all.
It really depends on how You prefer to play and the team You are with. While i am jealous at the burst damage from daggers and some skills they have I must say I really enjoy my Rogue. I used to laugh at maces myself, until I tried it and as You can see after way more than 200 days played I still stick to it.
Dec 5th 2006 4:04AM I am playing mace Rogue since 2005 and I love it. 1 Tinhg You have to be aware of. You totally lack burst damage. Of course there is Adrenaline Rush, but if You are in WSG the cooldown is just much too long.
It forced me to learn to PvP without cooldowns and I was quite good at it. The Mace proc is much too unpredicatble to be extremely useful and its of no use in PvE encounters.
You could also argue that in times of white damage crits of 1300 the extra sword swings from spec might really be that useless.
Anyway, I am mace rogue because I enjoy to be different and learned to live with its flaws and strengths.
Here is my complete writedown: Why the Hell play a Mace Rogue?
Mace Rogue since 2005 ;-)
