Here's the thing, I did just that. The game still told me I had to purchase the class.

Anyway, if people get to keep using their Going Rogue content, why can't I still use my Mastermind, when having purchased CoV means I effectively bought the class?
Sep 29th 2011 3:16AM @Utakata Thank you! Someone who runs on the same logic I do. Almost every response to this argument I've gotten has been along the lines of "You didn't buy the content, you bought access to that content."And at the end of the day, isn't that the same thing as buying and owning it, for the purpose of an MMO? If anything, I did own the content, but couldn't actually access it until I ponied up $15 for the original sub. The thing that makes this even more irksome is the fact that anyone who purchased Going Rogue retains access to all of that content (though they couldn't access any controller or mastermind powers anyway under the new setup, which is equally jip-tastic.)

Indeed, I remember them stating a long while ago that if they were going to bring back the Mesmer, they explicitly stated that the GW1 Mesmer's mechanics weren't entirely possible under GW2's new combat systems, and that they would likely have to rebuild the class.
Aug 31st 2011 3:13PM I have to wonder what you mean by an active doge, seeing as how this is a shooter, and "actively dodging" pretty much just amounts to moving out of the way. Unless you're referring to some manner of cooldown dodge roll or the like, then I personally don't see the need for it. Also, the movement issues that you mentioned during that dino encounter were likely due to your choice of Assault frame. The Assault is inherently designed to have the least effective jet pack and movement speed, as that is the trade off you make for its destructive potential.

That's exactly what you're going to get out of it. Yes, there will be instanced PvP, but the first footage that was ever released of the game showed off a rather extensive, persistent, open world with a variety of locals, and even various vehicles, both player driven and automated, for traversing it.
Aug 30th 2011 8:30AM I'd have to agree that, to an extent, short races have been persecuted and stereotyped, particularly as the cute or funny race of their respective settings. It doesn't help that this is more often than not the case either.
This leads to interesting scenarios where a viewer instantly decides said traits about a race that may as well be a bunch of megalomaniacal, magic robot building, midget land sharks *cough* Asura *cough*.

Yes, go, make a midget shark man. Those are the only true asura.
Aug 17th 2011 5:15PM I'm really confused how they'll implement the class, considering it is basically just a super crafter who pew pews with wands.
