Official PTR Patch 4.0.6 patch notes {WoW}

Jan 6th 2011 3:44PM When these changes go live I will start playing my priest again.

Spiritual Guidance: BlizzCon players tell about their first priests {WoW}

Oct 25th 2010 2:36PM 1. When and why did you roll your first priest?
I played a Warlock in the open beta. I liked it, but I didn't like having to worry about a pet. So when WoW was released I made a Mage (I figured it was a Warlock with no pet, right?). I got it up to 38 before I got busy with school and quit WoW entirely. My friends finally convinced me to come back in spring of 2006. I knew I wanted to play a ranged class that didn't have pets, and I didn't like playing a Mage all that much my first time around, so by default I created a Priest (I didn't know that Druids had a ranged caster spec, and my friends played Alliance so Shaman was out). I leveled in Shadow and went Disc at 60. My guild already had a Holy Priest (with a few MC epics, omg!), so I thought I could provide more utility as Disc (even though there were very few Disc Priests at the time). I've been a Disc Priest ever since, in good times and in bad.

2. Did you play any other video games or do something before that might have led to you choosing a priest?
WoW was the first MMO and first RPG I've ever played. Before WoW I was hardcore into Age of Empires II and Half-Life mods.

3. When and how did you know it was the class for you?
When my friends decided to roll Horde toons for battlegrounds. I leveled a warrior to 27 before I went crying back to my Priest. Melee just doesn't register right with my brain at all. My Priest remains my only max level character to this day.
