Mar 22nd 2012 5:34PM So WHU will kill the Icecrown realm 200% faster?

"GS: So a couple of things we’re doing that are a little different this time is, in Raid Finder and for the world bosses, we are not having loot rolls. We’re having per-player loot. So what this means is, the game will decide that X number of players, say it’s 3 to 6 in a raid, are going to get loot this time, and then it gives them loot that’s appropriate for their current spec, whether that’s their main spec or offspec. We feel like loot works really well in organized groups who can sit there and decide who’s gonna get the item, and when you’re with your guild or group of friends, even if you don’t get the item and they do, you know that still helps your progression ultimately.
None of that happens in Raid Finder, and there’s a lot of drama, a lot of hard feelings, like, “He just needed that item because he could! He’s not going to use it! I could use it, it was a huge upgrade for me!” So we feel like just going to per-player loot, almost in a Diablo sense, will help with that, because then, if you get a sword, I don’t get mad that you got the sword instead of me. Maybe we both get the sword. Maybe neither of us did."
What I understood:
In 25-man LFR: Boss is dead, Game chooses 5 players, those 5 will get the best loot for them. Other 20 players get gold.
If one of the players already has all the loot he needs, another player who didn't loot that boss will be chosen.
Mar 11th 2012 9:15PM Roger that.
Azshara is way too big for a Cataclysm, 10 levels zone, and questing there takes you everywhere, far away, on foot, to unconnected quests, with no overarching story, just tons of side quests. Just like Classic.
Mar 11th 2012 11:55AM We already have or in-game answer:
"I walk amongst savages in this cursed land! I cannot take five steps without some crazed Orc or Human trying to thrust a sharp stick into my hide. At any given time you could very well be speaking to my spirit."
The Bane of the Bitter Reaches, Scourge of the Bay of Storms, Lord of all magic in Azshara!
Mar 8th 2012 11:49AM The rage on hunters change makes sense, after all any hunter change is game-breaking. Support class changes are merely details that you can work out in later patches.
Mar 4th 2012 6:41PM Oh... this TFH edition made me realize, after helping to deliver Morrowgrain to Staghelm, Magatha's dealings with the Forsaken Royal Apothecary Society, I might be the biggest bastard in WoW's history:
NOM NOM NOM:
Mar 4th 2012 6:11PM The Lich King is another soul predator introduced in Azeroth's environment, fighting for the same resources as the Naaru. The Naaru then send their forces to stop the Lich King from devouring their food.
The champions proceed to weaken the Lich King, then he prepares to devour their souls, exposing his weakness, the Naaru give powers to Fordring and the Light-forged Ashbringer, and he stops Frostmoune's hunger.
The Lich King, the real Lich King is actually the Frozen Throne, is almost the same as the Naaru, dimensional beings from/made of Twisting Nether material.
Feb 23rd 2012 10:12AM I'm worried about Lock and Load. The history of WoW's game design shows that they hate abilities which can kill players faster they can heal.
Kill Shot was nerfed and they added a Glyph so you can shot it twice every 11 seconds(or 3 every 20), perhaps mimicking the awesome damage it once had. But then it costs you a extra GCD and the healer has a chance save the almost dead player. Kill Shot pretty much doesn't kill anything anymore.
A double damage Explosive Shot has the same problems, it's pretty much a proc based "I WIN" button. 75% HP: ES, LnL proc, (silence healer), 2x ES, KS, dead.
I suspect Blizz will nerf Explosive Shot's damage, and maybe make LnL proc more often, reducing the burst while maintaining the same damage over time.
Feb 22nd 2012 9:30PM After 217 screenshots in wowhead, I believe there isn't such a gun in the game.
Feb 19th 2012 8:54PM The Old Gods did not give any more power than Deathwing already had. Actually Deathwing had so much power he was dying because of it, and eventually he did die as shown in The End of Time.
What was limiting his powers and keeping him together was his Adamantium plate body armor, sewed into his body by the goblins, keeping it from going critical.
The second thing keeping him together was the Dragon/Demon Soul, more exactly the lack of it. Many times when Deathwing got near the artifact, his powers would go out of control, power surges happened, his body deformed.
In the Dragon Soul raid, Thrall did two things when he hit DW full on:
1. Armor was broken making the dragon lose his form and limiters.
2. The energy beam added more energy to an almost critical system, making it go out of control.
With his body being unmade, Deathwing had to concentrate for a full minute to unleash the Final Cataclysm, but the heroes and the aspects interrupted him every time he tried. Then the powers shot the Dragon Soul a last time, fully turning the ex-dragon into a lava blob.
I do believe Deathwing could explode anytime he wanted, he could undo his armor himself anytime and do it. I guess he was planning to live on after destroying the world, even it was for a little bit.
