Patch 4.3: Rogue legendaries, Raid Finder, and more {WoW}

Sep 19th 2011 5:22AM You do realise that a fair chunk of the Legendaries have been linked to specific classes, right? The Blades of Azzinoth when they first came out were Rogue and Warrior only. Shadowmourne? Warrior, Paladin and DK only. Not to mention the others that were bound by virtue of weapon type or role (Vala'nyr for example). The fact that it has come round full circle to Rogues does not surprise me, given that between Wrath and Cata every class bar our sneaky brethren and Hunters have had a Legendary *in some shape or form*. It may not have been for the right spec (no tanking shield for Prot Warriors or Paladins, or a Feral Staff/Mace as examples there) but they were there.

So, in short. It is no surprise this is happening. It is a shame that others won't be able to use it, but not a surprise. What will be the next Legendary? Haven't the foggiest.

The Soapbox: The Republic must stand, the Republic must fall {Massively}

Finally, a reasoned view regarding this whole scenario. I honestly got tired of reading every post on this thread being "lol TOR needs 2 fail bcuz I luv GW2".

Other MMOs have been successful in their own way and not been WoW killers, and certainly have less subscriptions. I personally am looking forward to how things will pan out in the coming year or so - if only people would learn "to each their own", though. There are going to be plenty of contenders, no matter their budget or pedigree, which are going to be interesting.

The Queue: The first Queue {WoW}

Jun 23rd 2011 1:58PM You need Revered to contribute towards the "United Nations" guild achievement. That's the one that requires 55 unique reputations within the guild to be at Exalted.

May 18th 2011 6:23AM Revrant, you are just a douchebag, frankly.

The Queue: Digital aspirin {WoW}

Apr 4th 2011 8:26PM Spelio is incorrect regarding the older content. I have completed 25-man BC raids, for instance, with a team of 8 guildmates and gotten the guild ach. Same with some of the old 40-mans as well. Minimum of 8.

The newer stuff - yeah, you need the 8/10 or 20/25 ratios.

Breakfast Topic: What role do you fill in your guild? {WoW}

Apr 1st 2011 8:17AM I'm the Guild Encyclopaedia. I keep up-to-date with all the latest patch notes and tell my guildmates the important things they need to know. This also entails being a bit of a lore nerd too - but I enjoy it. Given the first two letters of my main's name are "Ex" - I'm nicknamed Excarta or Excyclopaedia. It's pretty funny, actually.

The Queue: What a wreck {WoW}

Mar 8th 2011 11:51AM When people started mentioning next expansions and hero classes, I began to think of what I'd like to see as the next expansion. The Emerald Dream. Now, I can't remember where I read about it but I think it was in one of the novels about heroes going into the Dream/Nightmare and seeing alternate versions of themselves (could be wrong, tbh).

Based on that - I would hope that every class bar DKs (though that is open to debate) gets the option of a Prestige class as either Lv85 at the start of the next expansion, or at the endgame. There could be multiple ways of doing it.

But I then began to think on what Druids would call themselves - I mean, Trees are "of the Grove", Bears/Cats are "of the Claw", but what about Moonkin?

So, my question for the Queue is thus: What designation are Moonkin given in Druidic society? Is it "Druid of the Moon", or "Druid of the Talon"? Sounds stupid, I know. But I wasn't 100% sure.

Feb 26th 2011 6:47AM I suspect someone's taking lessons from EVE... as in selling the Pilor License Extensions (PLEX) for ISK on the market, or doing the same through the official forums using CCP's system for it on your account for 60-day timecards.

Scarlet Blouse Gentleman receives NPC for fact checking efforts {WoW}

Oct 31st 2010 7:08AM @Leviathon - Has it not occurred to you that they may have locked the topic for other reasons? For example, they may have locked to stop the trolls coming out of the woodwork and using that thread as yet another platform to insult the guy.

Hell, even if this doesn't make it into live, I'd love to see the next Loremaster tabard be a red or scarlet one. That would be a pretty damn fitting tribute for someone who beat the Blizzard loremasters at their own game.
