Nov 11th 2010 5:58AM And only a pretty big loser would actually get angry and call an intelligent and creative girl like this a "moron" over writing a cute and light-hearted song that politely jokes about adding to the current lore. Whether you like it or not, the lore is regularly altered and added to in order to justify gameplay and mechanics; and you're pretty naive if you think otherwise.
My guess is that within the next few expansions, Blizzard will probably remove the class restrictions for all races (which also means that the lore will be, as it has been many times in the past, added to and or altered in order to fit those changes). Regardless, it's just a song/video and her desire to play as a BE Druid probably has nothing to do with a lack of understanding of the lore, but rather a desire to play the game a particular way. There's absolutely nothing wrong with how she voiced that desire (in fact, many of us are happy to receive more music from the PvZ composer). There is however something incredibly self-centered and immature about the way you voiced yours.
Nov 10th 2010 11:02PM Haha, same here :) Everytime she says "PEACE OUT MOTHER NATURE" at the close of her behind-the-scenes video I totally crack up.
Nov 10th 2010 10:52PM Thanks, this was a great article. Laura seems like such an interesting person. I checked out Melolune after PvZ came out and even though the only thing available at the time was a 2 hour demo, I still got really into the story, and her music was quite lovely.
Also, becoming exalted with Timbermaw Hold takes FOREVER.
Oct 28th 2010 8:21PM OMG, I just watched the behind-the-scenes video and the last 5 seconds were awesomely hilarious, I almost spit out my water. "PEACE OUT MOTHER NATURE!!!"
Oct 28th 2010 8:13PM That was adorable and the video was a lot of fun. I got a kick out of all the random references (never killing Kresh, walking Tooga home, the elf who was addicted to Blood Thistle). I hope she makes a Starcraft video next since I've read that she's really big into Starcraft.
