Jan 23rd 2008 12:14PM I've recently found a way to discourage gold-spammers around the mailboxes that have gotten them to log off within just a few minutes. I've created a macro that fires off 5-6 emotes in a row. I target the spammer or simply anyone else in the area and fire off my AntiSpam macro and it quickly removes the spammer text with emotes from my toon. The gold spammers message is quickly removed from most players text windows and can be fired off immediately as soon as they send it off again. I've not gotten any complaints from other players (so far) but it seems to discourage the goldspam. After about 4 to 5 attempts to spam and being quickly overwritten by emotes, they log off. Seems to work. I use it when I log onto my bank alt around the mailbox. If they are spamming gold ads then I spam my emotes to cover up their message. Is this simply adding to the problem or is it more of a public service to get their spam scrolled off the chat window?
Jan 26th 2007 11:52AM Just wondering if there will be any WPBT events held on PokerStars. After the Neteller close out, I've basically have my entire bankroll "stuck" on PokerStars and don't have any funds left on FTP. It would be nice to have some events on Stars as well.
Jan 17th 2007 3:27PM I'd have to agree with iamhoff. Simply calling here would probably be a mistake - make the move NOW and put him to a decision. I'm never one to back away from a OESFD. Sure, you're putting your tournament life on the line early, but then so will your opponent. Think he'll call a push with just an overpair or even two pair? Trust your read on him and make the big move. OUTS IS OUTS!!
Nov 8th 2006 3:06PM Since you mentioned you're playing with some fellow poker bloggers, I'd say you can't rule out the possibility that the "HAMMER" called that bet and was planning on bluffing you out on the flop if it looked like it was going to miss you. He happened to hit it and now has two pair and is going to bet it up.
Some may also choose to call PF with a KQs, KJs, etc as a speculative hand and could have the nut flush draw.
It would be doubtful that an unsuited A7 or A2 would have called that hand. So if he has two pair with an Ace he's NOT on a flush draw.
Given the kind of players you stated you're dealing with - I'd guess that the Hammer is going to make an appearance. Call me crazy.
