Sep 1st 2009 7:41PM I've experienced NONE of this. This person is either lying, or experiencing issues specific to them (ISP/hardware/etc). My guess is that this post is coming from a forum QQ'er that got banned or just wants to spread more misinformation about CO.

Launch has been good, the headstart event was frustratingly bugged, but the game is stable.

Aug 28th 2009 3:52PM My only issue with the early start program is that in addition to getting retail specific in-game items (like action figures / costume pieces), the head start event gives out another set of bonuses that includes MORE action figures, MORE costume pieces AND special "perks," that are only available to the head start crowd and only available to get between now and sep 1. Seems like the head start people get 3x more for their pre-orders compared to everyone else (2 sets of bonus items and being able to play early. If they had made that clear from the start then I would have tried to dodge Amazon :-(

Aug 14th 2009 6:39PM Okay, well you guys can continue to spend your $15 bucks on buggy "creative" software. Meanwhile, I'll invest my money into games by companies that don't take 6+ months to deliver half of what was promised (online play that doesn't wipe your save data) and 1+ year(s) to release bug fixes to leaderboards that are obviously being hacked. The game has been out a year and it's still plauged with *common* bugs (just check youtube keyword: castle crashers bugged).

What really get's me about this is that between then and now they somehow found a way to release the kings pack (and probably the necro pack later this month). Gotta love a "creative" company that continues to milk a game they don't continue to support.

Indie or not, if one of the big ticket publishers / game companies like EA did this, then you can bet you wouldn't be hearing any apologists claiming that a games "creativity" somehow justifies it's inability to function as it was intended (through shotty programing). No, you would hear about the evils of EA and their corporate machine.

Or at the very least do something about all those -1 exp and lvl 256 hacked savefiles.

Or maybe fix any of the 25 or so major bugs in Castle Crashers.

Or maybe just support your existing IP's instead of putting all of your time and money into future buggy and broken games that Behemoth wont support because they've once again put all of their time and money into making another game.

I get that the company is small and all, but thats not an excuse to ignore support for their games, and if anything it's made me not want to buy from them in the future.

Oct 3rd 2007 1:56AM Mike, I applaud you for posting your spec and the detailing the reasons for each talent choice. It takes a lot of guts to open yourself up for critique to a community that tends to be low on tact. Your build emphasizes a key philosophical ideal on gameplay that seems highly debatable- namely that hybrids ought to spec in a way which allows them to fill in for dissimilar roles during a single encounter, or alternatively, focus on your gear to determine your role (you mention dpsing in 5 mans or raid healing on weekends with a simple gear switch). There are many many many arguments for and against this ideal, and it seems to me that most of the point-blank-in-your-face responses listed in these comments are from people who fundamentally disagree that a hybrid ought to attempt the type of "fill in the hole" gameplay it seems you're in favor of. I think a lot of people missed the part where you said that this is what you want to do.

Having said that, and with all due respect, it seems very silly for this build to be on display before wowinsider even gets a chance to show what the good solid cookie cutter builds are for each class/role. It's easy to look at this, which is only the second shammy buildshop, and think that you guys don't really know what you're talking about... simple because wowinsider
hasn't properly addressed what the accepted/theorycrafted builds are for raiding and pvp. It's not difficult to do, others mentioned hopping on the shammy boards and simply reporting the work that other people have done, but on here. Do that, and then toss us some builds like this inbetween updating what the most current cookie cutter builds are (because they do change, even if it is only a little bit at a time). On the off chance that you guys are worried about running out of builds too report on too soon, why not just report on a single talent or talent level and really examine those talents in some detail? Doing this would be a lot of fun for a lot of people, and it would definitly help a lot of people to understand when it is good to take Ancestral Knowledge and when to skip it for instance.

People come here to see the videos, news and events that STAND OUT against crap like this. I understand that if there isn't anything new that comes out, then wowinsider will have to throttle down it's posts. I'm comfortable with that. Your readers are comfortable with that. Please don't post videos for the sake of posting. If I wanted to sort through all the wow video crap myself, I could easily do a "wow machinima" search on youtube.

What about respec costs? {WoW}

1 respec with a 24 hour cooldown + respec quest

(Hear me out)

The respec quest can look at where the majority of your talent points are and give you a spec appropriate quest (Ie, if youre resto/holy you have to go someplace to heal an escort quest or whatever). The quests would be similar in time / effort to the swift flight form druid questline, minus the heroic instance run (or round it out at about an hours worth or time and travel).

On the plus side, this wouldn't cut into your daily quest earnings / epic mount savings, yet still it would require effort on the players part... actually more effort b/c your broke guildy couldnt simply ask to borrow 50g to respec to raid, s/he would have to invest time :-). Additionally, if blizz put some time into a solid design like this, the quests could also be tutorials for how to play your freaking class, which is something EVERYONE NEEDS (including me). Imagine a warrior quest where you have to keep aggro off your healer for 30 mins, or a mage quest where any of the multiple mobs will 1 shot you if they touch you.
