You realise that when you got both items you would have stopped chain running the dungeons. Which means it *always* would have been the last run of the weekend regardless of how many times you ran it, or what time you finished.
That being said, the tanking shield droprate blows.

I do a fair bit of questing outside of raiding still in my heal spec, so was curious to see how a simple UI like this would work. I guess you just set up the bars so your keybinds work then hide them.
How do you swap your UI for shadow then? Is it a simple profile change, or a complete reload of UI plus addons?
Also, what happens when you use a vehicle?

Nov 15th 2011 7:05PM Indeed, the global cooldown is also the primary reason that someone located in the states next to the server with a 30-80ms ping can play well with me located in Europe with a 280-400ms ping and we both see the same things at about the same time.
Otherwise without it, he would get off 4-5 attacks for every one of mine, hardly "balanced".
Casters have two things to control their output - the GCD for instant spells, and the cast time for more powerful attacks. These throttle the amount of damage they can do in a given amount of time and that can be balanced against the other classes.
Sep 30th 2011 4:14PM Only thing GMs need to be aware of is to make sure the rank one down from GM is one you want to be next in line.
Theres a nice trick I use where the rank with second highest abilities is actually fourth in real rank, because it means while they can invite, they can't promote higher than their own rank. To get to the top rank you need to have an authenticator. Good trick for protecting guild banks
Aug 15th 2011 8:49AM The dps meter is less important than the damage done anyway.
All very well having massive dps, but I've frequently seen mages and locks with high DPS numbers eclipsed by shadowpriests with lower numbers, but higher overall damage. Which means they had more of an impact on the fight.
That, and often the dps obsessed players go out of their way to blow all their cooldowns at the wrong time, so they get to see lots of pretty numbers, then the boss turns around and oneshots em so they get to see lots of pretty floor tiles. Not exactly a productive use of tiem.
Aug 4th 2011 11:45AM Original 40man BWL, on Vaelestrasz. Down to last two survivors. Heals gets blown up. Tank blows every cooldown to hold on as the dots tick. Dots wear off. Tank dies. Just as he dies, shaman ankhs, runs up, hits Vael twice, dragon dies.
We talked about that player 'soloing Vael' for months.
Jul 16th 2011 4:08PM A question on the arcane rotation - I was told some time back that Arcane Missiles didn't get the damage benefit from the Arcane Blast stacks, so it was better to use Barrage then the MIssiles proc. Is this no longer the case?
