Dec 5th 2011 5:11PM Thats odd, I was just tinkering with the API recently myself - was considering putting together a site like the Armory, but a lot more in-depth (as the API offers a ton more info than whats visible on the Armory). Not really sure if it'd be popular though...
Oct 21st 2011 8:24PM I'm still hoping for Unholy Blight to make a comeback. There was something fun about it, and not to mention portable AOE was very handy sometimes.
I love the way DKs are steadily getting more like Arthas when it comes to powers, though. I think death knights have more flavour as a class than most others.
Oct 21st 2011 8:15PM I haven't looked at all the trees (like paladins, I don't play them, so I wouldn't relate to the options available) but this system DOES seem like its more customisable for people than the current system.
Lets say you were levelling a rogue. You could go Sub for the sweet Shadowstep move, but then the bottom Sub talent (Shadow Dance) seems lacklustre. Killing Spree sounds far better, but to get it you need to be Assassination and you lose Shadowstep!
Under the Pandaria talent system, you're able to pick which of the three options at each stage suits your preference. Warlocks can choose to pump up their demons or just make them expendable to power up themselves, rogues can choose whether they like a Cheat Death option or constant small heals as they dps, and so forth.
Oct 21st 2011 7:57PM Void Shift looks pretty interesting for raiding... can be an emergency OHSHIT button to save a tank. Kinda sad to see Shadowstep bumped up to level 60, though - getting that at level 10 was an immediate boost in fun.
And finally, my death knight might actually be viable in pvp. (Maybe)
Oct 21st 2011 5:12PM Finally, an excuse to say: FEEL THE WRATH OF MY SLEEPY WILLY!
Oct 21st 2011 3:57PM Getting a 404: you need the slash at the end to work: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/game/mists-of-pandaria/
Oct 21st 2011 3:56PM Double rested XP? Very nice. Will be interesting to see how pandaren are balanced at endgame, as that Epicurean buff seems a little too good, so theres the risk that pandaren will be tuned to require the raid food buffs to be on par with other races (which'd be terrible outside of raiding).
Oct 21st 2011 3:43PM Return of world bosses - yessssss!
Nothing like going through your blah questing when you turn around and HOLY HELL WTF IS THAT! Seeing people fight this huge, awesome boss just makes you want to run over and join in.
The rifts and subsequent bosses in Rift are a good example of this - whenever one was opening up, most nearby people would run over to participate. I think it helps a sense of community, in a way.
Oct 21st 2011 3:26PM I think that starter zone should be pretty interesting... lots of conflict between the factions, both sides vying to win you over to join them.
My only concern really is the "cutesy" nature of pandaren, and the vibrant zones, attracting immature crowds who aren't really suited to the mature gameplay of WoW (as opposed to say, Perfect World). The header screenshot could actually fit a lot of current F2P oriental-themed MMOs, which worries me. Hopefully the content will be fantastic enough - Cata's old world revamps were really, really good.
Oct 21st 2011 3:08PM I like the way Pandaren are available to both factions. Traditionally if you liked the look of say, the tauren or dwarves, you had to go with that faction. This way, pandaren fans can enjoy that race with the freedom of joining either faction.
