Nov 3rd 2011 10:54AM i've always quit when my real-life schedule overwhelms my life. as much as i love wow, it has always been secondary to many other things. admittedly, it is quite hard to strike a balance as in not neglecting school and not choosing to raid 4-5 hours the night before something important. of course every break ive had from wow was always brief (btwn a month to 4 months). though this january i did stop again due to several reasons, one of them being in my last semester at uni and preparing for life after uni. other reason being that my dell rig (do not ever buy dell pcs if you're a gamer) could not support the requirements anymore. so i wrote a nice long posting in the guild forum and informed my gm. they understood. i'm still not back yet because i don't have a rig to play it and secondly, life after uni didn't turn out as i expected. i do plan to return in january or february (my birthday) and want to/plan to switch to a pvp server. i got tired of raiding and the fact that the raiders (majority of them on my server) are total imbeciles who can't seem to follow instructions/directions nor can endure anything as terrible as repeating an encounter that they caused to wipe anyway! rated bgs sound extremely exciting and puggable-ish (save the trolling, i don't want/plan on becoming the top rated bg'er in my server or battlegroup so pugged rbg's should be good enough).
so yeah i do quit but always with reason and never sudden. however this is the first time that i plan on returning and doing something drastic like switching servers.
Oct 14th 2011 10:36PM yeah i agree. balance druids have really looked a lot like the unloved stephcild. to balance out our ability to stay alive, i think we should get a heal castable in boomkin form that is on a 2 min cd that heals instantly for 20% total health and 50% of the insta-heal amount over 12 secs and restores 20% of total mana over 10 secs. also it cannot be dispelled. it would be truly for the oh-crap moment.
or give us a defense tree bark mechanism (derived from resto treeshape form and barkskin) that is on a 60 sec cd which halves all damage taken for up to 15 secs and increases all healing done to us by 25% (almost like a mage's mana shield or a priest's shield but different). i would like us to also be able to shift out of boomkin form to self heal but it feels like i would be asking too much while tree bark mechanism is up. on the other hand, shadow priests shift out of shadow form to heal themselves but their shield stays. ater all, they are like us, a hybrid class.
