Aug 31st 2011 10:09PM I don't always laugh at a comment posted on wowinsider, but when I do, its usually because of a damn silly joke such as yours :-)
Well played sir!
Jul 29th 2011 7:23PM My guild has been considering switching to Mumble. I know Mumble has sponsored wowinsider in the past, any chance of any upcoming contests where we could win a trial-membership with them, or other offers that might make the sell easier?
Jul 28th 2011 4:50PM As a priest healer, I was also recently 'nerfed' with the new pet stances. As the lovely Fox would recommend macroing /petaggressive into priests shadowfiend macro's, to maximize shadowfiend uptime and as a result, mana return.
Ive been finding my mana return in any aoe-situation to be greatly diminished, and I am forced to either attack the highest health mob (which most likely also has the least threat from the tank) to get more mana, or, attack the mob people are focused on, and risk losing half of my shadowfiends uptime running back and forth between me and a mob. Since im a healer, I have the same problem you hunters do, where I generally want to be at range, which makes the shadowfiends runs all the longer.
In raids its more or less 'no biggie', because 99% of the time I can drop fiend onto a boss and it'll sit there doing its fiend-thing till it runs out of time. It just feels so annoying to have to suddenly start managing my pet more for 5-mans then ive had to before.
Personally im hoping the QQ train works, but, blizzard does feel a lot more like communist russia these days, and generally I get the sense that blizzard just wants us all to 'shut up and play' when they make an anti-player change to the game.
Jul 15th 2011 7:10PM Glad to see that the stat-simplification the game developers mentioned we would see in Cataclysm has taken full effect, and that Paladin tanks only need to use 1 addon, and 1 spreadsheet, while being unable to use the same feast the rest of the raid benefits from, and having to pop elixirs instead of flasks, in order to maximize their toon.
Thank god my prot pally in an alt is all I kept thinking while reading this post >
Jul 13th 2011 1:57AM Theres a guy in my guild that sounds exactly like you Matt. He's my favorite guildie :-)
Feb 18th 2011 5:19PM hehe, so, if you want to bubble spam, the idea is to go holy instead of disc? How can they not have put Soul Warding deeper into the disc tree? I really don't like the idea that Holy can out-mitigate disc, when the description of a disc priest, and mastery, is all related to damage prevention...
Oh Blizz, you just can't get it right can you :P
Feb 11th 2011 6:41PM So after weeks of Druids on the official blizzard forums crying about the nerfs, it took ONE DAY of the changes being live for Blizzard to actually realize "maybe we've gone a little too far".
Maybe listening to the community would save them some time...
Feb 10th 2011 4:22PM Three times in the past two days I have received a 'Dungeon in Progress' when using the LFG tool, without the pop-up box telling me it was in progress. Has blizzard removed that message intentionally to avoid tanks queuing specifically for in-progress dungeons, or is it just a bug? Other people joining the instance at the same time have told me they also did not see the warning on their windows.
Feb 8th 2011 4:47PM hehe my g/f and I did get a kick out of the Manitoba mixup from the week before :-) TBH, I figured you just accidentally said the wrong word and didn't catch it :-)
Gotta agree with the Luck of the Draw discussion, people absolutelly will QQ that they aren't doing as well because they are missing the buffs. Bad players will use anything as an excuse. A few of my friends have an inside joke, that anytime a player blames 'lag', they're really just failing. I remember all those PUGS back in Wrath, there was always a few players after every boss fight "Sorry I was lagging like crazy" to cover up their substandard performance.
I look forward to next weeks brief discussion regarding the nuisance caused by Patch 4.0.6 breaking the LFG for worgen-converters :-) Hopefully they get a work-around/fix out for you soon.
Jan 30th 2011 11:03AM There are a few things I enjoy about pugs....
1. You get introduced to new strategies you might not have seen before in all guild runs.
2. You don't have to be social if you're not feeling like it :-)
3. You can make a mistake, and no-one you will ever see again knows about it :-)
