Apr 3rd 2012 6:37PM Sorry to nitpick, but you're conflating 'sentient' with 'conscious'/'aware'/'intelligent' (or if you want to be more technical, between sentient and sapient, as in homo sapiens).
Sentient = anything that has senses and experiences (e.g., pleasure and pain) and is reactive to the environment. Animals are sentient. How sapience is demarcated is a matter of philosophical dispute, but it has to do with self-awareness, and according to some, the ability to use language or to grasp concepts.
Mar 29th 2012 11:06PM Nailed it. It is Spaceballs-grade ridiculous.
Mar 28th 2012 8:34PM Judgement is not wrong. US English is perfectly fine by me, but it is annoying that some spell-checkers only recognise US spelling. Judgement, analyse, these are not spelling errors! Sigh.
Mar 25th 2012 8:40PM I'd say warlocks being able to self-heal with a spell instead of wasting time on drain life would be nice. Then again, I haven't played a warlock for so long I'm probably speaking nonsense and there are far better means of regeneration. I'm sure someone will correct me if wrong. But for mages, getting healing doesn't make any sense. I get that it's early beta and it'll change 5 times before the release but this is a bit of an odd choice.
Mar 25th 2012 5:16PM It's not the sort of information anyone has. (If they tell you they know, they're either guessing or lying.) It's frustrating but truth is, "Soon (tm)" is the best anyone can do. Try to think of nail-biting-anticipation is building up the excitement for when you get in!
Mar 21st 2012 11:41AM The confusion between 'Chi' (alternate spelling, same pronunciation: Qi) and 'Ki' is because the former is in the original Chinese, and the latter is the Japanese adaptation of the Chinese character and word. Both are correct, depending on which language you're speaking. WoW went with 'chi' (think 'cheer' without the 'r').
Mar 8th 2012 5:03PM @ Caylinn: go to watch.ctv.ca and watch The Daily Show from March 6th + 7th. That will work in Canada (I live there too.)
Mar 8th 2012 11:47AM Here's how I'd go about it. It's your 8th anniversary, and you want the iPad 3, so tell him it's the two of you by the power of (iPad) 3! The numbers all add up, it must be a sign.
Sep 4th 2011 5:44PM I have to say, the cutting off of the Broken from the light is bothersome from a lore perspective. As long as the Light was some kind of natural phenomenon, then you'd say that the fel energy 'biological weapon' could cut them off from it. But with the connection between the Light and the Naaru, as well as some general idea of benevolence (e.g., Crusader Bridenbard and that whole story), it's baffling that you can be 'cut off' from it.
