May 24th 2011 12:59PM While you certainly don't get the same levels of rep as you do in Hyjal; Vashj'ir does contain quite a lot of quests that reward Earthen Ring rep, not to mention you need to do a chunk of the zone to unlock the quartermaster for that faction. It's definitely the more inconvenient of the two starting zones, but it's far from as irrelevant as your post suggests.

The Queue: Fused with infinity {WoW}

May 23rd 2011 12:24PM The horde equivalent is actually blowing up those barrels, so you may find it a good form of revenge!

Breakfast Topic: Are you attempting to buy BlizzCon tickets today? {WoW}

May 21st 2011 8:15AM No, I am far away and poor!

Raid Rx: How to prioritize combat resurrections {WoW}

May 20th 2011 7:52PM While creating the Soulstone by a warlock has a significant mana cost, that can be done prior to combat. Actually using the soulstone to rez someone is essentially free during the fight. This certainly makes the warlock rez preferable to the DK one during combat, as the warlock really sacrifices nothing but a few second's DPS casting.

WoW Rookie: How to choose characters to play with a partner {WoW}

May 19th 2011 3:07PM That last picture with the kitty druids in love is so cute it's quite possibly dangerous.

May 17th 2011 1:29PM Magmaw in Blackwing Descent is usually the best one to do first, I think, just because he's a bit of a gear check - particularly on your healers - and is a lot easier to coordinate than the other two first-level bosses (Omnitron and Halfus). Those two are the next ones to try.

Breakfast Topic: Thoughts on legendary weapons {WoW}

May 16th 2011 8:53AM Although it was said in jest in the article, I rather think there's room in WoW for a long and extremely time-consuming solo quest chain that rewards a legendary fishing pole.

Patch 4.2 PTR notes for May 13 {WoW}

May 14th 2011 5:34AM I really like where Drain Life is right now - individual affliction warlocks can make personal decisions about which filler they use and how they spec their extra talent points. I'm not sure why Blizzard are so adamant that Drain Life should not be a filler spell - surely if it ends up being a bit similar to shadow priests that's entirely up to the user whether they find that a problem? You can quite viably spec for Shadow Bolt instead and that also works just fine - in my view they should try and balance it so the Drain Life option is at best exactly the same as Shadow Bolt and at worst very slightly inferior (to make up for the increased health regen). Just basically nerfing it massively like this makes it obviously useless in most high level encounters. And I rather liked having spec choices to make within Affliction.

Patch 4.2: Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest proc potentially uncovered {WoW}

May 13th 2011 8:42PM Sounds like a good guess. It's a proc that's powerful, useful to all classes, simple to immediately understand, and gives them a good opportunity for a flash spell effect when it goes off - sounds like ideal legendary weapon material.

Patch 4.2: Avengers of Hyjal reputation rings {WoW}

May 13th 2011 8:13PM appears to be the requested tanking ring from this faction.
