May 1st 2011 8:35AM Although I'm bifactional through and through, the only WoW garment I own is a hoodie with the Horde insignia from J!NX. It's one of the most comfortable and easily matchable articles of clothing I've ever had. If I don't feel like "representing", I can just pull the zipper open to split the logo in half.
Even in a small country like this, people seem to recognize the symbol, but they seem reluctant to come up and chat. That's just our culture, I guess. Wish I'd find friends with it someday.
Apr 29th 2011 12:55PM ... In the end, it's a happy reunion for Thrall and Jaina.
Right? Riiiiight? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight?
Apr 19th 2011 9:33AM It was around last October, I think - waking up in the morning to see guildies frantically texting me. Apparently, I had been farming Botanica since the late night hours, and the guild bank was gone. The support call that followed was actually the first time I'd ever spoken English on the phone, and I was really terrified. It went fine, though, and I had my account back in a matter of minutes. Think I lost a couple thousand gold, but that's about it - got my gear and precious items back, and also got Exalted with the Sha'tar thanks to the farmer. Haven't bought an authenticator yet, but paying attention to my password and general online security has became a lot more important for me. I wouldn't want to go through that again, but at least the support experience was excellent.
I thought out ways to explain the entire ordeal from a RP standpoint, too. :D
Apr 14th 2011 11:55PM So, I'm finally getting my pipin'-hot male succubus, eh, I mean incubus? My, my, way too good to be true.
Apr 8th 2011 11:00AM Is it weird that I'm looking forward to the environments the picture will happen in more than the actual characters? I wonder whether it'll be the (insert zone/area here) I once fell in love with or something else. It doesn't have to be, it SHOULDN'T be too similar to the video game depiction, but there has to be something that connects the player base into the movie world so it actually feels like Warcraft.
They should line up some story threads from the RTS games and WoW in the beginning of the movie to introduce new viewers and refresh the memory of veteran players. From there, it's all fine if the main story will be about a new character, just as long as they get the environments and barebone lore right. Some familiar cameos and quirky gamer in-jokes happening in the background would be nice, but a fan-fest is not something I'm looking forward to.
Apr 1st 2011 12:03PM I'm the Google whiz & general info bot. I usually have just the right keyword and an ability to collect almost any tidbit of information in a matter of minutes. I'm willing to go to any length to find the required info for a guildie, even if it means rushing to the library on a ten minute raid break.
Mar 25th 2011 6:31AM This pretty much sums up how I like my Warcraft universe: with beautiful details and odd little things that go unnoticed by many. It doesn't always have to be aggressive lineart, strong movement and striking colors.
Mar 12th 2011 3:46AM Wow, didn't know it was a reference to something! Used to leaf through a book like that as a kid.
Mar 6th 2011 3:29PM The helm is called Amani Mask of Death.
Mar 2nd 2011 8:20AM I have to disagree on this. I recently leveled a shaman alt that I started just before Cataclysm. It was on a new server, so I didn't have any gold or heirlooms to back me up. I ran a lot of Northrend dungeons, also a couple of 80 heroics before entering Hyjal. My average item level was hovering around 195. I bought a couple of inexpensive ilevel 300 rings and a spirit trinket from the AH, and finally started Cata with iLVL 202.
It was actually a lot more difficult on my main (protection paladin) who was clad in full 264 + some 277 pieces. Having previous experience on the areas gave me an obvious advantage, but I didn't feel the mobs were hitting too hard. They took a little longer to kill than Northrend mobs, but it was nothing major. I knew about the difficulty jump, and was prepared for it, only to see it wasn't as large as I'd expected.
It's nothing to worry about, just prepare for a little more action than before.
