Know Your Lore: Multi-dimensionality -- The Warcraft cosmos, part 2 {WoW}

May 30th 2011 1:00PM Many of these demons which were permanently killed came through a portal which allowed them to bring their physical form through much like mortals traveling through the portals to the Emerald Dream. I would propose that not all demons possess the ability to travel between the Twisting Nether and Material Plane just as not all mortals can travel between Azeroth and the Emerald Dream.

Know Your Lore: Multi-dimensionality -- The Warcraft cosmos, part 2 {WoW}

May 30th 2011 12:51PM I would think that Shamans call upon those ancestral spirits that have passed over to aid your spirit in returning to this realm. Warlocks are taking a piece of your soul and imprisoning it in a crystal. So when you die the piece of your soul in the shard can not pass over and the magics stored in the crystal force your soul to return (warning: imprisoned portions of soul may be damaged and/or destroyed in the process). Druids are calling to the natural guides between the realms to guide your spirit back to your body instead of the opposite? Shamans and Warlocks seem simple enough, but Druids would require more explaining.

The Light and How to Swing It: Patch 4.0.6 for retribution {WoW}

Feb 3rd 2011 12:27PM The frost mage's water elemental generates two charges of the Fingers of Frost buff when the freeze ability is used which is an aoe and does not require a target. If the ability does not hit anything the two charges of FoF are not gained. They could do the same with Divine Storm.

I would like to see Divine Storm changed to generate holy power and do set damage per target up until 10 targets. So, the max damage potential is not reached until 10+ targets, and the the damage of Crusader Strike is better until 4-5 mobs are being hit by Divine Storm. This makes the ability clearly a bad choice for single target situations and firmly an aoe ability without making our aoe rotation suffer from holy power starvation.

In addition I think Ret needs an aoe holy power finisher. I would suggest something similar to Holy Radiance, but obviously damage instead of healing. Also, when the ability is used it reduces the remaining cooldown of consecration by x/y/z and reduces the mana cost of the next consecration spell cast by x/y/z(where x/y/z is meant to imply with 1/2/3 charges of holy power). This would allow ret aoe to be a constant rotation of divine storm to build holy power then 3 holy power finisher filling in with consecration -> holy wrath and maintaining inquisition.

My final request would be to give inquisition the holy shield treatment. Reduce duration, but allow ret finishers to trigger inquisition or at least refresh inquisition.
