Dec 31st 2010 6:06PM Factions weren't losing before because the reward wasn't high enough; they were losing because the game was essentially rigged in favor of the defenders. The changes to the game were only to the reward structure rather than to the game mechanics, which means that their sole purpose was to modify people's behavior within the limits of the rigged game. You can contort your thinking and make yourself believe that this was intended to make people 'try harder,' but companies whose bread and butter is behavior modification don't make such simple mistakes. This isn't an ethics issue or even an interfaction communication issue, because everything is actually working as intended.
