Aug 25th 2011 1:03AM Don't care much for Ragnaros 2.0 or rogues - but damn that was a kickass lead-in story.
Aug 23rd 2011 8:57PM Immersion.
Selling a game by saying "No loading screens!"
...Days long gone.
Aug 19th 2011 12:06PM Yeah, the whole Alliance vs. Horde world war thing is kind of played out by now. No-one really plays this game for immersion anymore, so letting people just send stuff to their opposing-faction characters wouldn't really make much difference.
If the players want it, they will get it, eventually.
That said, I hope you get sniped til then. Traitor.
Aug 18th 2011 3:17PM Daedalus wins the internet today.
"People have been calling various features, bugs, and changes "nails in the coffin" since vanilla was in beta.
With that many "nails" failing to hold that coffin shut, I think the only conclusion that can be drawn is that Chris Metzen is actually a vampire with a crowbar."
Aug 14th 2011 12:31AM Not anymore.
All the cross-realm-centric content kind of killed the sense of a close community for me.
Aug 12th 2011 4:57PM Every new character in any multi-player game that doesn't have any serious repercussions for acting like an idiot:
1. Turn off /general chat.
2. Turn off /trade.
3. Turn off /bg chat.
3. Never group with people outside my server.
Aug 9th 2011 7:44PM Your thing in the Zangarmarsh was just a well-documented glitch where the developer messes up with the labels for a piece of terrain that he copy/pastes back and forth between zones. It leads to funny little things like the cave on the border between Dun Morogh and Loch Modan where you're in /1 General chat with Silithus.
The Z axis has little to do with the arrangement of the continents, if you have a look at http://www.youtube.com/user/EnhacementReznik and some other explorer stuff on WCM you'll see that the continents are either copy/pasted or arranged a fair ways away from each other horizontally in the "virtual" arrangement on each terrain server.
To illustrate: people have jumped, in-game, from Outland to IQQ - or something similar, I forget exactly where they ended up.
Incidentally the copy/paste terrain phenomenon is the foundation for many Exploration videos, such as getting behind the Greymane wall in Classic etc.
Aug 5th 2011 3:42PM Naxx40 Kel'Thuzad two dps'ers left alive, both were MC'd when he died to DoTs.
The night before Naxx40 disappeared forever, so yes, were were all 70 at the time. But the raid group was half full, we barely knew what we were doing and he had never been killed on our realm, so it was kind of cool.
With a GM in the raid for Sapphiron. And the last ever drop of Corrupted Ashbringer from 4H the same night iirc. Good times. Immortalized in a video.
Aug 5th 2011 3:35PM Upgrade your RAM, and don't buy it from Apple. You can literally save about 80-90% percent on the same stuff by buying from an aftermarket supplier.
Then get cracking on recording PVP and PVE with no pesky UI, while playing normally. See my stuff on WCM.
1h 33min long PVE video with very little UI clutter.
Aug 1st 2011 12:32PM Get the hell out of the situation. You're not gonna drag your guild back to the casual-ish atmosphere that you had or now need - not without dirty tricks in any case. And doing dirty tricks will just make you feel ...dirty.
