The Queue: A fel dilemma {WoW}
Apr 6th 2011 11:45AM This is how I've run group/raid markings:
Skull: First Kill, obvious
Cross (X): Second Kill, almost as obvious
Moon: Sheep, because mages are the best and we took it over!
Diamond: Seduce/Fear, because warlocks are full of purple. (Also useable for Mind Control)
Star: Repentance, because holy is always yellow, no matter what.
Triangle: Sap, because poisons (a rogue-thing) are green
Square: Trap, because blue is cold and icy, just like the mob when trapped.
Circle: Druid CC, because mages claimed moon, I mean, because druids celebrate the circle of life, yea.
Breakfast Topic: Do you rely on game sounds to help you play WoW? {WoW}
Mar 20th 2011 10:15AM Absolutely! The music of WoW was originally part of what got me hooked, and to this day, I still play with music on. Even though I've been around since just a couple months after Vanilla launch, one of the most nostalgic moments for me is going back to Nagrand from Burning Crusade (which happens to be my favorite xpac). Absolutely gorgeous views and amazing music.
In addition to music, sound effects, I feel, makes a player more aware. Aggro'd a mob behind you? You get the sound of casting or a human male going "Huh!" or a murloc going MRGHRLHGHLRH! Main's a mage, and even with eyes closed, I can tell when to hit my next spell. Hearing dialogues also adds a nice little flavor to the game.
I could go on, but I won't. :-)
