Mar 7th 2012 7:45PM "We don't want to shut anyone out. So, we're addressing that with Challenge Modes in Mists. You'll have normal and heroic mode dungeons, and then Challenge Modes, for players who are looking to prove their mettle."
Yeah.. no. As far as I understand it Challenge Mode is going to be a timed run where everybody gets the same gear. That might certainly be interesting for some people, but to imply that it somehow represents a straight up third difficulty setting for heroics is bullshit. It's a completely different ballgame.
I enjoy challenging heroics. I also enjoy long dungeons. What I don't enjoy is the "gogogo" mentality in PUGs, so no, I don't want to "prove my mettle" by racing through dungeons against a clock, I simply want to overcome challenging encounters in 5-man content. But GC's quote pretty much sounds like they are going to make dull VP-mazes like the HoT heroics from now on and if you want a challenge you can do this timerun stuff. Thanks, but no thanks.
Mar 5th 2012 7:46PM Welcome Ms. O'Neill. Already a sharp improvement over the previous blather we were treated to. Looking forward to more.
Mar 5th 2012 7:23PM While I agree that this kind of fuck-up is embarrassing for Blizzard, people are horribly overreacting. Since the latest patches and hotfixes these achievements are trivial to get. My bank is overflowing with Darkmoon artifacts, just by capping my valor doing heroics and raid finder on two characters. And even if you can't manage to find a certain one, it's bound to be on the AH for a reasonable price, unless you're on a horribly underpopulated server.
Mar 2nd 2012 9:10AM I'm surprised nobody brought up resistance racials yet. No more resistances = no more boring resistance racials. The only question is if the races who currently have them get something new in exchange. Would be nice.

Feb 26th 2012 2:28PM Have you selected a new warlock columnist yet?
Feb 25th 2012 6:04PM Those are the exceptions though. Generally Blizzard has a pretty stupid attitude towards this. I don't get why they don't put dismount zones around vendors. They could save players so much frustration and GMs so much time. The way it is now, when some douchebag decides to troll and park himself with a huge mount on top of the mailbox or some vendor you have to write a report and some GM has to take time out of his duties to move that idiot.
And yes, I know about the Interact with Target keybind, but not everyone does and even then, you shouldn't be forced to use a workaround or write a report just because Blizzard is too stupid to put dismount zones around important shit.
It's then same shit every ingame holiday. Important holiday NPC? Some retard will think it's funny to mount his mammoth and park on it. But Blizzard doesn't learn, this shit has been going on since forever.
Feb 25th 2012 3:53PM I'll list what addons I'm using and maybe we can narrow it down:
_NPCScan + _NPCScan.Overlay, Ackis Recipe List, Archy, Atlas + all the modules + AtlasLoot, Auctioneer, Chatter, DBM + DBM Old Content, HealBot, Omen, Overachiever, PlayerScore, Postal, Power Auras, Quartz, Recount, Tidy Plates, Titan Panel, X-Perl UnitFrames
But like I said, can't be X-Perl. And before someone calls me lazy and says I should just disable them one by one: The problem with that is that the errors don't show up right away, they only occur after I've played a while, so I would have to disable one and play half an hour, disable another one, play half an hour, etc ;(
Feb 25th 2012 3:06PM Glyphs, yes, forgot that one. It seems I'm not the only one with this problem. So it's either a pretty popular addon causing it or a bug in Blizzard's default UI.
Feb 25th 2012 3:04PM I don't have MoveAnything, the only thing that comes close with moving stuff around would be X-Perl Unit Frames, but I know for a fact that I had the problem even before using that.
