Breakfast Topic: The most memorable raid interruption {WoW}

Mar 18th 2011 11:32AM Oh wow, I did that when I was in Afghanistan. We were in ICC discussing blood prince strat (on vent with a 4 second delay).

Me: I don't know maybe should tank ....*rocket whistling* pause *explosion* Uhh guys I may have to go AFK in a second.
Everyone: What the heck was that noise?
Me: Well judging by the sound it was a rocket, hit pretty close too *warning sirens go off* Yeah, I'll be back in like 15 min.

Feb 17th 2011 9:55AM Interesting, however if you ignore simulation and use the real world, then the results are quite different. I submit http://stateofdps.com/ , which is of course based on actual combat logs. As you will readily see, sub is the worst spec they bother to rate, putting it somewhere in the vicinity of holy pallies.

Also, BH is pretty much a training dummy with raid buffs.

Feb 16th 2011 10:09PM Well that would be because they (rightly) discount the spec as a joke in PvE. As I recall, they did make good mention of it during the discussion of the one fight where it is PvE viable. As for PvP, that isn't really their focus at all.

Feb 16th 2011 5:49PM As you nicely point out, it is so easy for a rogue to get the information they need to suceed. EJ is an amazing resource and I usually find any choice I am wavering on has been vetted in great detail by them already.

It of course makes it all the more baffling that there are so many blatantly terrible rogues though. Seriously, the official forums make me die inside.

Feb 3rd 2011 10:04AM I will be curious to see how combat stacks up after 4.06

Feb 3rd 2011 9:59AM Actually I'm reasonably certain that is among the worst times to use killing spree. You want to always time it to be used in the 15% phase of bandits guile. A far more effective rotation to open with is SS->SS->SnD->AR. IF properly speced and glyphed a 2 or 3 cp SnD lasts quite a while, and the AR should run out with about 5 seconds left on the 15% buff, making it a perfect time to follow up with killing spree.

Blowing both cooldowns at the start of the fight also gives you more use of them during fight. Even on heroic 5m bosses I usually get 2-3 uses of the two this way.
