Oct 28th 2011 12:38AM I've been looking to replace Sexy Maps with something more functional. Reading through the previous spotlights, nothing has struck me. Any suggestions? I like the detailed zoom features of something like cart, but lightweight. Hoping for some love from fellow add-on-ers!
Jun 10th 2011 2:27PM Man, I hate to be *that* guy, but I've noticed a real increase in typos on WoW Insider lately. This article alone has at least 4. I know this is nit-picky and petty, but I'm a copy editor by day and this sort of thing really catches my eye. What happened to the proofreading on these articles?
That said, this is definitely good advice - I've wanted to rage quit after a night of wipes several times. The best solution for me was what was in the article - get up, take a short walk to the backyard, get some air and a frosty beverage, then give it a go again. And remain positive.
May 20th 2011 3:26PM Great post - I think that's definitely a valid point. They provide a little bit of extra incentive to get better, especially on things you have on farm. When we first did Magmaw, we wiped for like 2 nights. Now, we have it down so cold that we bet each other who can pull the best DPS. While this isn't *exactly* the best way to use a damage meter, it gives us a little extra challenge now that the fight is trivial.
May 20th 2011 3:23PM Excellent article, and well articulated.
I personally use Recount more as a back-up tool to make sure I'm buffed, specc'ed, and in the right Aspect (love me some Hunters). While this should be a normal habit anyway, a damage meter can be a quick-and-dirty way of making sure. If I glance at it and I'm only pulling 6k damage, I know something isn't right, and can adjust.
I think Tyler nailed it: "damage" meters are a tool - it's how we use the tool that really matters.
Though, yes, I do take screen shots when I'm on top of my raid - a far too rare occurrence. :)

THis would look smashing next to my new Naga!
Mar 3rd 2011 2:32AM Thanks for yet another great post - I always learn something.
I'm happy that BM is at least respectable again in Cata. It was embarrassing running BM in WotLK. Now I can pull out that vanity pet with pride.
Also, for some reason, I feel like I do more AoE damage in MM than SV - possibly because of the lower focus cost of Multi-shot. Am I missing something?
And lastly, for possibly the first time in my interwebz history, dare id write it? I do: first!
Jan 12th 2011 12:05AM This is a great idea for an article; maybe for all the classes *cough cough*
I'm definitely going to try the Lichborne macro - I never realized how easy that makes it!
Jan 2nd 2011 7:53PM Very nice.
Jan 2nd 2011 7:52PM Um, yes please.
Jan 1st 2011 2:35PM Oh yes, that will do nicely sir.
