Mar 31st 2012 2:32PM just realized i was wrong. They had weapons and leather gear in BC with extra armor not dodge. It was widely recognized as what a bear should wear. I simply meant that gear that leather gear that catered more to a bears needs has already exsisted.

One your summary is not all that acurate. You discount bears as viable tanks in early endgame which I think is inacurate because of the bearcatting offtank. However, you cannont have your cake and eat it too if bears are to be discounted then prot pallies must also be noted were mostly gimmick aoe tanks in early game.
Second they have already made agi leather with dodge in BC and this handy dandy link
http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/1093784-The-Return-of-Dodge-Leather illustrates that 2 specs is enough for unique gear to be created
A blue said that tank gear should be seperate from dps gear and in () put even bears which i think is a hint which way they are going. Besides splitting bears from cats becomes even easier to balance if they have different gear sets.
I said all that to say that you may well be right about a lack of unique gear for bears/brews but 4 specs sharing the same gear seems more unlikely then 2 if you look at the chart and your tone treated that as a silly ? and I believe it is a valid ?.
Mar 24th 2012 11:57AM Generally I just like the funny
Warrior (Tauren) Tankerbell
Warlock (undead) Deathisalich
Shaman Topshaman (like the noodles not being leet)
Druid (Bear/Cat) Fuzzypants
DK (Tauren Female) Leathergirl
But I have a hunter named Giddi (literary char) and a pally named Leviticus because it seemed appropriate. I saved Kwaichang on my server after the char from the original 70's "Kung Fu" but lateer I checked and there are like 50 some variants of KwaiChang. One of the names above is actually unique if you check the armory (and its not silenttbob) so im a little sad to have such a common panda name im actually hoping to be inspired by something someone else is doing and create a one off of theirs so I hope my list helped others in that regard
Feb 17th 2012 12:58PM I disagree. I am in a very casual guild. We raid to have fun. We havent cleared all of normal ds because of attendance and no one gets mad. We have yet to have 1 set of 10 people make it through an entire patch. We are on a very small server (1/10th the size of the average server). Occasionally, because we have some people who havent raided before, we have to have people sit out a particular boss because we only have one composition that can down it. I think you are speaking from a place where your switching comps would cost you speed while many small 10 man raid teams switching comps means you will spend 3 hours and not kill a thing because you simply dont have the dps or heals. At that point you have to weigh how much fun 3 hours of wiping is for 8-9 people who have the skill and gear to down a boss. We attempt to let our alternates raid as many bosses as possible where people don't need gear because then if someone must leave we have a qualified alternate. But, if winning cures all ills wiping for an entire night on one boss you know you can down with a different comp can cause many.
Nov 28th 2011 2:19PM I can really relate to the writer's feeling that azeroth just isnt the same without their partner. My GF's family got me into wow and I play with her. I began raiding in Cata without her (because of time constraints) and was successful (got into but not through t11 heroics). But the game just isn't as fun without her. I now raid with her and I, as a tank, have had several opportunities to switch to more highly rated guilds even though i think she (a heals) is a better player. However her schedule just wouldn't allow her to go to a different guild. Many people ask me why I don't switch and I just tell them that killing heroics is fun but the joy of a good inside joke or the of being able to spend 6 hours a week raiding together is better then any epic lootz. RL over WoW FTW. I think wow is usually such a time suck I cant imagine not doing it together. I imagine they could pick a new venue for togetherness but if they both enjoy wow and can't share it then I wonder where the hours for togetherness will come from

I tried a feable search for this but I couldn't find the answer. Appologies if its a repeat. What is the current Ilvl to use raid finder on the ptr, and do those who have used this feature believe it will be shifted. I am gearing an alt war tank (current raid comp is two dodge tanks). I am applying to grad school and don't have time to gear up more if there is no need.
Jun 10th 2011 1:00PM I am a lefty who also has cerebral palsy so my left hand is very dominant. I use a game pad for abilities and some movement and my mouse for camera swing and all my healing. A mouse with more buttons would just make my life so much easier. I even have my tab target bound to an outside mouse key so when i tank i can switch targets and use an ability without moving my hand. More buttons= more better for me. The more i can do with my left hand the smother my game experience can be so I hope they truly make this happen cause i love mmo's
