Sep 23rd 2011 11:59AM I know I've seen multiple times where myself or guildies have equipped a new piece of gear that seems substantially higher than what they had previously, yet the average item level (on your character tab) doesn't move at all, or if it does move it may only be by one. I know I try to go by that same thought of, if I don't need it, DE or vendor it as quickly as possible, but that doesn't appear to have made any difference in those cases either. I appreciate the feedback, as I think there is still quite a bit of confusion about exactly what impacts your item level, and what you can do to make it better. I know I've wondered about things like RP/collector gear, and have let pieces go before in fear that may be the culprit on item level not appearing to change.
Sep 23rd 2011 11:30AM Q for the Q: I'm sure this has already been discussed elsewhere, but how is item level calculated? Is it strictly what is equipped, or also in the bags on your person? Does this include the items in your bank? Is it slot specific, if I had a 365 str trinket, but 333 int trinket for my off spec in my bag, does that count against me? Thanks in advance!
