Apr 3rd 2012 7:26AM Ever since the new trees went live its felt to me that they're short-changing disc heavily and I have no idea why. Currently with the CD on PW:S and no Strength of Soul Paladins are better mitigaters than disc (if they talent correctly) and with all their other tools better healers too. While all other specs remain better at pure healing throughput than Disc. I hope Blizz fixes this as Discipline is by far my favourite healing spec right now.
Mar 1st 2012 4:11AM Not at all, I think this faction warfare stuff is massively un-fun and don't entirely get the drive to make it a big thing. It just seems so pointless what with there being far greater threats to those involved than the other faction to spend time fighting so it's very difficult for me to care. Sure, as an Alliance player on a PvP server I'm not that keen on the Horde, what with the ganking and all.
Feb 21st 2012 7:23PM You seem to have got the wrong end of the stick, the article is talking about heroic mode raiding not heroic dungeons.
On topic, I'm not that keen on the nerfs to heroic mode. I like the idea that the "best" will clear heroic content, while those who aren't as good (such as myself) still have access to all of the lore and the chance to have a go at what those at the top manage to do even if we fail. It just seems fair that there is a distinction between those who can do it and those who can't.
Feb 21st 2012 9:09AM I was doing some calculations the other day and discovered that at current gear levels, Arcane Torrent is worth ~500 spirit for Discipline priests and ~300 spirit for Holy priests, more than any other racial (although Gnome's 5% extra mana pool comes close for Discipline and the Human Spirit comes close for Holy), this is compared to the ~180 Crit rating provided by Worgen. So technically the best for healing priests would be a Blood Elf although if you want to roll Alliance you should probably look at whether you'll be going Holy or Discipline and pick Human or Gnome accordingly.
I of course ignored all that and my main is a Night Elf Priest because I love Night Elves and Shadowmeld is quite possibly the best racial ever.
Feb 11th 2012 9:08PM /cry, I really can't think of anything worse from my perspective. I've tried DPSing and it just doesn't interest me and I find tanking a moderate improvement on that, but healing is a perfect fit. I enjoy the type of information management that comes from playing a healer and have now levelled all 4 healing classes to 85 although my Disc priest will probably always be my main.
I will admit to being worried about the healing model going into MoP as it looks like they're going to simplify a great number of things removing some of the number crunching that I actually enjoy. I realise these views probably put me in the minority and have (mostly) come to terms with that, but if it was taken even further and healers were removed altogether I would have to find me something else to play!
Jan 22nd 2012 12:17PM That would be an astronomer, not an astrologer. We're pretty touchy about that as astronomy is the scientific study of celestial objects and astrology is, to put it bluntly, nonsense.
Jan 10th 2012 8:24PM Sorry to point this out Dawn, but the Seal of Seven Signs only procs off healing spells so it's not really all that much use to a damage class.
