Feb 10th 2012 4:47AM It was probably hacked.
Feb 9th 2012 2:51AM Lol, Chris, you sound like a toothless, senile veteran muttering into his bowl of oats!
If WOW was still at vanilla design and gameplay, I'd have quit years ago. I'm glad that the designers are thinking, developing and taking risks, even if not everything turns out exactly as planned.
Feb 2nd 2012 6:14PM True. But some people might not be as naturally stable as we perfectly balanced pastime gamers who post in this thread.
If WOW is as social as we claim, we should be happy about community members who describe a way out for those of us who are in trouble.
Feb 2nd 2012 6:05PM I disagree. I half expected WOWInsider to not mention the film because it might displease a good portion of its readers. I salute them for giving it this amount of coverage, because it might lead some of us to ask uncomfortable questions about our own behaviour.
I have dealt professionally with addiction and my experience is this: If you blame an addiction solely on the addicted, then you either haven't really witnessed that phenomenon or you are in denial of something. The truth is much more complicated, and we as a society (of gamers even?) need to help those in concrete danger of doing permanent harm to themselves. And if we gamers deny the problem, the nongamers will lead the debate.
WOW is a drug like tobacco or alcohol. Don't misunderstand me - I want neither banned, because I want to be free to enjoy their positive aspects, if I choose so. But all consumers need to be informed about the inherent dangers, and that's what Sevrin and WOWInsider are doing.
Feb 1st 2012 9:29AM Great, European players can NOT post on the PVP thread. Maybe someone from the land of the free agrees with me and will post the following:
- PVP achievements are 229 vs. 567 for raids and instances. I'd love to see more of the former, especially more world pvp achievements
- Can't we have more rated bg maps? Also I'd like to see another attempt at 15v15, since in our guild we regularly cannot invite all interested players.
Overall, I'm happy that a fair number of posters understand, that the thread is supposed to improve PVP for all players and not just their individual class/spec.
My favorite counterexamples are those dk's whining that they cannot roflstomp everybody and people demanding CC nerfs who obviously aren't capable of using their own CCs.
Dec 5th 2011 2:33AM Another great way towards a unique outfit is questing lower level areas. You get achievement points towards Loremaster AND find lots of goodlooking pieces of soulbound equipment.
Dec 1st 2011 3:23AM I think those need to be mentioned in the article as well.
They Gilneas faction mounts can be bought after reaching exalted with the Worgen. You cannot do the Worgen starting area quests (unless you are a Worgen), but need to find the scattered Questgivers (going Loremaster puts you roughly at 1/2 revered).
You can also farm Gilneas reputation by buying a Gilneas tabard from Lord Candren (Darnassus west near teleport). Wearing that you can run classic dungeons for rep.
For Alliance: The quickest way seems to be running stockades. Doing ONLY the three bosses and AOEing hallway trash gives you ~400 rep points. For maximum points per time I recommend skipping the cells and resetting the dungeon instead.
Nov 26th 2011 12:51PM I think the blood elf magic brooms would go Alliance since the originally belonged to human mages.
Nov 26th 2011 12:41PM d can have 3 values: breast, drumstick and carcass.
Nov 21st 2011 3:12AM "...it's hard to deny that Chuck doesn't have his place in pop culture"
Are you sure this means what you wanted it to mean?
