Mar 20th 2012 11:43AM I would be a lot more excited about Stampede if they hadn't fixed my GIANT WASP OF DOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!

Is it time for daily guild XP limits to be removed? {WoW}

Mar 17th 2012 4:58PM A large part of the problem is in how guild experience is gained. Most experience is given for raiding and completing guild rated battlegrounds. While XP from dungeons is fine, howeve experience gained from questing is pretty ridiculous. It's scaled to level, (and scaled too low) and with guilds that focus primarily on the leveling experience, it's near impossible to level a guild. For social and leveling guilds that don't have the opportunity to raid and field competitive battleground teams, how are we supposed to level our guild? I understand you don't want people to start a lot of low level characters to game the system, but can't we bump up the level just a bit?

Scattered Shots: New hunter MoP talent updates {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2012 10:16AM I'm not very thrilled with the changes to Camo. It's still a largely useless talent. I'm also less than excited that a druid can just take one of my abilities. All the other classes seem to be getting something cool in return, but dash? Really? Of course, it could be worse. They could be taking my mirror image ability. Hopefully this gets tweaked. I like the idea of sharing abilities, but not so much outright stealing them.

PowerShot will be fun, but only if there's a limited cast-time and focus cost.

I understand the changes to Lock N Load, and it does simplify things, but still my heart breaks at the thought of casting less Explosive shots. I want to cast MOARE!

Breakfast Topic: How's the Guild Finder working for you? {WoW}

Dec 7th 2011 9:35AM The finder itself technically works. It's that the issue remains that you are unable to invite someone who is not online on that particular character at that exact moment. On an alt? Tough Luck. Only on in the evenings when I am only on during the days? Too bad. Logged out two seconds before I checked the raid finder (It doesn't give you any notices, so you have to manually check constantly.) Try again next time.

Look, when I approve your application, I want the system to automatically notify you and invite you when you next log on. Why do I have to sit online 24 hours a day, looking at your application, checking every 15 seconds to see if you are online, just so I can actually invite an approved applicant that might never set food on that alt again?

The Queue: Fus Ro Dah {WoW}

Nov 14th 2011 12:22PM I've lost so much time to Skyrim it's not even funny. I'll look up, and realize hours have passed by as if they were mere minutes.

I once had a Dragon attack me, and his breath light up a Mammoth. The Giant nearby wasn't too thrilled, and started attacking the Dragon. I found a nice scenic viewpoint and watched as the Dragon started making bombing runs on the Giant, never landing, just strafing him with fire. As all this continued to develop, the skies darkened and it began to snow. I of course jumped in and finished both off at the end, but I really wish I had been able to record video of it all. Such a beautiful and epic scene.

Oh, and once I had a Dragon land in the middle of Solitude. The entire town came out to help me slay the beast. That arrogant guy who works the Archery shop still didn't believe I killed a dragon! What a jerk!

Arcane Brilliance: Adventures with and observations on the Raid Finder {WoW}

Nov 6th 2011 1:16AM My biggest concern with a rating system would be that the only time it would get used is when someone wants to report someone, and even then most of the time it'd be some moron continuing his d-baggery. The problem comes down to lack of motivation. It's much more satisfying to report a bad player, but over time most people will quickly get lazy enough to not even bother reporting the good ones.

Secondly, let's say a player has a poor rating. With the RDF and RRF, we wouldn't know until after they joined the group anyways, and by then, it will be too late to do much and would pretty much defeat the purpose anyways.

With all that said, I would love a system in place, but it's something that would certainly need a lot of time and consideration to ensure the system was accurate, easy to use, and not enough of a burden that people just ignore it completely.

Addon Spotlight: Commenters' favorite addons {WoW}

Nov 4th 2011 8:43AM I was referring to armory. It's simple, lightweight, and lets me turn off anything I don't want. The best part about it? One profile setting. I don't have to either create a profile to share among my characters, or reconfigure the addon for each character. Set it once and it's the exact same among all 10 of my chars.

Nov 3rd 2011 3:09PM I used to use Altoholic years ago, and would really like to get it up and running again, however last time I had to ditch it because it was just too resource intensive and quite buggy. It seemed that it wanted to do so much more than I was looking for (basic inventory, currency and badges across all toons, plus professions are kinda nice) that it ended causing wow to slug along regularly. Can anyone report on if this has been improved, or if there's a slimmer, more basic addon out there?
