Why is Blizzard still OK with gender inequality in World of Warcraft? {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 4:23PM As someone that plays female characters exclusively, I am well aware of the old armor issue. I say old because they have not made "plate bikinis" since vanilla/classic with very few models being used as quest rewards during The Burning Crusade. Granted, there were a couple armors with bare midriffs during Wrath of the Lich King, but those aren't quite as impractical as a bikini. Plate bikinis used to be a problem but now they are not. Why carry on like they are?

As for the off color remark by an NPC, what's the big deal? It's not like he's saying "Hey baby, how's it going? /smack on the butt". So it's a little crude. I think all the poop jokes in the game are a lot more crude than that.

P.S.
Poop jokes are funny, I don't care who you are.

Spiritual Guidance: Brainstorming the future of shadow priest glyphs {WoW}

Mar 21st 2012 4:10PM I'm all for the dark Power Word: Shield. A golden bubble is not very shadowy. The Mind Flay sound is tolerable, but I would LOVE to have the old hissing sound effect back for shifting into shadow form.

Blue Posts: New WoW comic strip, I remember when, "DK" {WoW}

Mar 21st 2012 12:39AM I remember when you could Feign Death and sit down to drink.

Leaderboard: Tanks vs. healers {Massively}

Feb 13th 2012 1:26PM Which role is more vital? The answer is neither. Tanks, healers, and even dps are all equally important. You can't, typically, complete dungeon or raid content without any of them. Without the tank, the boss one-shots everyone. Without the healers, everyone dies. Without dps, the boss won't die. It's like starting an argument about whether air or water is more important. The only difference between them is that you'll die faster without one vs. the other.

The Queue: A giddy thing {WoW}

Feb 4th 2012 1:43PM @raingod Well if you want to get technical, every item in the game is from as set list. It's all in the database, every single one of them. Also, there is no need to be insulting. You won't gain extra internet points.

Feb 4th 2012 12:41PM Not everyone with the same trade has the same skills.

Activists target SWTOR's future same-gender romances {Massively}

Jan 27th 2012 7:08PM @Heathengamer I agree. This organization, that supposedly has our best interests at heart, is more concerned with the representation of homosexuality in a video game than problems that really exist.

The Queue: Gee wiz {WoW}

Jan 20th 2012 5:28PM I think you are reading more into what I've said than what is there. I noticed a mistake in game, I asked a question. That's it. No OMG THEY MESSED UP I HATE BLIZZARD THEY FAIL AT WRITING! Nothing in my posts suggests such a tone. You made your opinion clear. You think it's trivial that they messed up the dialog, I get that. Why are you changing the subject to me?

We should stay on topic.

Why do you think it's a trivial question? I don't think it's super important, but it's not exactly trivial either. Blizzard is a professional company employing professional writers and editors. How could a mistake make it through the process, through all those professionals? Yes it bothers me that the line "The stench of sulfur and brimstone..." is redundant. I've never noticed any mistakes in WoW's voiced dialog before. There very well could be some, though. Has anyone noticed any other errors in the voiced dialog? (I'm being completely sincere in asking this.)
