WoW Rookie: How to pick a good name when all the good ones are taken {WoW}

Nov 4th 2011 3:22AM Am i the only one who is shocked that we don't have more people saying their names are basically bad puns or what you'd see on xbox live? I swear i want to stab someones eyes out every time i enter the battlegrounds. The worst "lol" names tend to be the worst players/biggest braggarts. :P

Guardian Cub taking a bite out of third-party gold sales {WoW}

Nov 3rd 2011 5:41PM They could always have them vendor for a set amount of gold, couple grand or so, that way the value would always stay a certain amount. (just an idea)
I also think that you are seeing the most at one time on the AH, as time goes fewer people will buy to put up, so there will be less there, and maybe they will hold value. Last time i checked Draenor on Ally had about ten, and the cheapest was 6k, and they sold almost instantly, some were 15k average to 50k top. Don't know if they sold or not though.

For fun, take a look at how much boe epic drops from firelands go for (25k on my server) and how much it would cost to buy that gold. That's something i heard about people doing in EvE to figure out how much ships cost.

Nov 2nd 2011 3:14PM " level 85 MoP quest gear as low as iLvl 230 or so. "

That would be a HUGE mistake. Imagine how much crying would go on about how easy the mobs and quests are, especially from raiders who have 377 or higher gear. The idea is that you won't raid as you level for newer people to the expansion, you'll just have to make do with what you get from the previous areas and upgrade the to the new gear. The 230 level gear would be a lot worse than you'd already have, and essentially be vendor trash.

I have no problem with gear inflation, it makes it exciting to know you are getting near a new expansions zone while leveling, something to look forward to. Seems the ones who complain the most are raiders who don't have the epeen to brag about anymore.

Nov 2nd 2011 3:06PM I live on the border (pretty much) and can attest to the fact that they both suck. ;)

The Queue: Top 10 most-asked questions, plus Yoda {WoW}

Nov 1st 2011 2:27PM I've got a question for the Queue, or anyone else really. Does anyone know any other site besides http://roleplaygear.wordpress.com/ that has a good guide for what gear sets look like (non tier mostly)? I'm trying to farm for mogging, and while that site is good, it seems to be missing a lot of the looks.

Drama Mamas: How to help an abused guildie {WoW}

Oct 31st 2011 2:10PM I also wonder if she is telling the truth. i've lost count of the times i've seen the false accusations to just try and get out of something they don't want to be in. No abuse, no separation, etc. Toss in someone wanting to be white knight, and bingo, situation made ten times worse.

Abuse is always serious, and faking it is just as bad. What's that they say, no one on the internet knows what you are really like?

The Queue: Your Ex-Lover is Dead {WoW}

Oct 29th 2011 6:43PM Worst part of the live stream, the dungeons panel. They messed up and showed a good part of the starcraft panel where dungeons should be, and even on the archive it's that way. :P Several minutes of the panel are lost, and that was one i was most interested in. :(

The Cataclysm: A critical examination {WoW}

Oct 28th 2011 4:09PM When i hear people say that players are flooding away from WoW, and quoting the numbers, i kind of laugh to myself, as i've seen the same percentage of players left the other mmos too. It's not a number of players thing, but percentage of their base, and with millions of players, even though the number is high, it still leaves a crap load of players.

Cata only didn't work for me because of the very, very linear questing, where hubs were phased, and no reason to go back to some places (Vashir the worst offender). I would prefer a middle ground of how Wrath was with how Cata was, quest wise. With a mix of the big story quests and little more random ones. I didn't care for the floor watching of the heroics at start either. I don't mind difficulty, but i really hate being called racist and homophobic names when we do not faceroll it. SFK was the worst, people popping out recounts every fight (always the tank or healer, hmmm), freaking out when classes that don't have interrupts don't use them. (got this after telling the party i don't have a way to). Wrath may have been faceroll, but it was fun to run a couple in an evening, those heroics in Cata at first were just not fun, especially with the players.
