Dec 15th 2011 9:06AM I wouldn't mind a free pet!
Dec 11th 2011 8:43AM ToC was immersive in its own way. I could totally believe that I was in a gladiator-style arena, fighting off all types of googly moogly monsters to prove myself. It just didn't have quite the same lore impact that we expect from instances.
Dec 11th 2011 8:04AM The first instance I ever ran that was level-appropriate and un-boosted was Scarlet Monastery, and it remains one of my favourites today. Graveyard, not so much, but the other three are/were wonderfully made. They're also very Lore rich, and as a bit of a lore junkie, that appeals to me.
I also really like Throne of the Tides, actually. I hate healing it, but DPSing it and tanking it I find really fun.

Nope, definitely not the only person to have read Lord of the Rings. That would be surprising.
And Tales of Numenor and Middle Earth and the Silmarillion were a lot more popular than you would think.
Nov 27th 2011 5:39AM Yep, because Mr Brower's music is incredibly Horde-biased. And, y'know, he totally favours drums over brass instruments.
Oh well. At least one of them is @neutralground, eh?
Nov 21st 2011 5:54PM Definitely Vereesa here. While Brann has, undoubtably, had more experience with old gods and powerful goolies, he never actually *fought* them himself. We find him stealthed in many dungeons, following us in others, and running away like heck in the Ulduar trailer.
Now, it is true to say that Brann has survived by running away in the past. However, the tournament area is a ring. This means that there can be two possibilities;
a) Vereesa stands in the middle of the ring while Brann runs in circles around the outside. She shoots him. One dead dwarf.
b) Vereesa stands by the door (or at some other point on the ring's circle) and Brann runs away from her. When he gets to the far side of the ring, he can either keep going (in which case he will run straight back to her) or he can stop. Either way, he makes a pretty good target for Vereesa.
So yeah. A summary; Brann can run, but not very far. Vereesa can shoot him.
Nov 20th 2011 8:10AM Wow. I know it's still early, but I'm surprised that 48% chose to sit it out.
Personally, I wont even be able to get ingame for most of the holiday, so I'm forced to ignore it.
Nov 19th 2011 12:42PM I discovered how to deal with giants at lower-than-intended level; kite them back to a watchtower, run up stairs that are too small for them, and shoot them inna head. Bonus points if the giant murders all the guards, too.
Nov 18th 2011 2:34AM I'd make some irreverent comment here about Cataclysm being designed to attract people from countries with a lot of natural disasters, but I don't think it would be appropriate.
Nov 7th 2011 6:27PM Sorry, but gnomes won this one for me. Compactdisc? Never before has so much awesome been contained in so few letters.
