I don't tend to comment on here, but I feel I must take the bait on that.
There are many aspect of the game world that are forced upon us that might not live up to our personal ideology or expectations of the the game world, that are equally unavoidable except by not playing. And you know what the generally accepted response that I've seen given to such qualms is?
If you don't like it, vote with your feet.
Ultimately we are participants in a fantasy world of someone else's creation. The armor designs, dialogues, etc are written by the creators of said world. And in this particular instance the nature of this interaction is wholly - if you don't like the way female characters in this world are referred to, play a male character. Much like the argument regarding I don't want to stare at the male model's 'butt' for hours on end - so they play a female character.
Whilst I agree that the way Ji greets female players is somewhat breaking is the way one would expect Pandaren to behave, to call it sexist I'm afraid is a bit of a stretch. Him making a statement such as "Ah, a gorgeous female! the kitchen is this way..." WOULD be sexist.
And to be clear, I'm not trying to belittle those whom quite rightly claim that they've received creepy compliments from creepy guys, and it was unsettling. Such behavior is reprehensible. But we need to be contextual here - this is a fantasy role play world where we as players actively engage in acts of murder and violence, aren't they also considered abhorrent in society? Should we move to ban game violence all together?
It's all a matter of perspective, which I fear here has been lost.
