7 wishes for guilds in Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Jan 23rd 2012 3:57PM Who is to say that the legendary should be a weapon. I am a GM and RL of a 10man guild and our boomkin, (had no idea up until he did) left to run with a more progressed guild the same day we got his staff. "thanks for the staff guys, im going to raid with better people" /gquit. It was crushing to everyone who put in the effort to get this player his legendary. We already had the pet from the first groups legendary but were denied the use of the weapon for DS progression while we needed it. being 6/7H in firelands didn't mean anything once the nerf went out and staff wielding DPS were able to go wherever they wanted.

I would like to see Vanity items for everyone in the guild as the actual legendary. the weapons create drama on who should get it, what happens if they quit/leave, ect. doing it this way, rewarding a mount or a clicky, would help balance the raid tiers without having to worry about an OP item for DPS/healing balance. I realize that the "weapon" has always been the reward but since shadowmourne's vanity items, Blizzard has shown that they can use other items and the world will not end. People still do 25H-ICC runs to complete their weapon, for achieves and for the loot box that is still valuable. Same with the staff and the guild pet.

I guess my point is that I would like to see Blizzard at least think about what their legendarys do to guilds and how it effects their progression. The guild shouldn't suffer because someone felt the grass was greener on the other side.

Officers' Quarters: Secret farmers of the Firelands {WoW}

Aug 8th 2011 9:36AM there is nothing wrong with trash farming in your off time. No matter what your officers think, your time is your own and if you want to spend it alone hoping for a purple to drop frmo trash than more power to you. I am the GM of a small 10man guild that runs 2 seperate 10's and we have 4-7 members that on any given day will go in and clear trash solo for purples. It can only benifit your raiders if they get something they can use for an upgrade making your next raid easier. If they sell something on the AH then they are just profiting off their time. There is 0 theft from the guild and if your officers want to know what your members are doing all the time and want to control what people do in their off time then i recomend you leave that guild and take your purple farming skills to someone who will appreciate it. The guild does not deserve any of the epics your trash farmer gets from dropd. you could always be nice and donate some of the gold to GB funds for feasts and such but it is by no means required. Your free time is your own and if you want to take a raid id you have and clear trash then more power to you.
