WoWathon 3 begins June 30 for Child's Play charity {WoW}

Jun 27th 2011 11:33PM I think it's a fun concept to raise money for charity by leveling a character. However, if I understand correctly, you are having more than one person play on an account to do so. This violates the Terms of Use, which only allow the account owner (and one minor child that the owner is parent or guardian of) to play.

If you are also going to be having these characters logged in constantly for the time it takes to level them from 1 to 85, this might raise some flags in Blizzard's monitoring system because that's a behavior that indicates account sharing.

May 20th 2011 12:23PM With respect, it's not just for last name changes. It's the "Legal Name Correction" form, for whatever legal name changes you've done. There isn't a separate form for changing last name vs your entire name.

May 20th 2011 11:15AM Since you didn't legally change your name, you wouldn't have the documentation you would need to go with that form. It might be better to call Account Services and explain that you made a typo; this was not an uncommon situation after Real ID & the new WoW website came out and people started seeing the name on their account. May 20th 2011 10:48AM Yes, it is quite common for people to need to change their name due to a legal name change. Here is a thread where a Blizzard Support Agent links to the proper form: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2267580799

May 20th 2011 10:44AM I'm sorry, but this is factually wrong. You can transfer the ownership of the account played by a minor when that minor reaches the age of majority. Here is the form:

"5) Release Authorization (This field is only required if the account was originally registered to a parent or guardian of a minor that has now reached the age of majority.)"
