Feb 10th 2012 3:06PM @Prince David Year is good enough. I've played much better games in the last decade alone.
Feb 10th 2012 11:30AM @Nova17899 Agreed. I work in a QA department for a software company and it's impossible to find every bug. Some of the ones that get reported to us are made from people doing completely idiotic things. Should our software prevent the problem, yes, but catching it is the first step. I mean, how you Bethdesa predict that talking to Kodlak, then dragging the Daedric Heart into the next room, picking it up, talking to him again and then walking away would cause him to follow me forever.
I've played through that quest 6-5 times and only that once, doing something VERY SPECIFIC did the bug occur. If they had to test every little thing like, talking to someone, moving a plate, talking to someone jumping, the game would never get released.
Jan 30th 2012 11:43AM @Deadalon Despite what this documentary may want the viewers to believe, compared to the overall population of the earth, gamers in general, and even MMO players specifically, the types of people who are "addicted" to these games to the point where it negatively affects the rest of their lives are an extreme minority. Whats more, its not the developers or publishers fault.
For anyone between the ages of 1-18, its the parents fault if the child becomes that way. I have friends whose parent cut them off if it got too bad. That's what PARENTING is about.
For anyone that's 21+ its their own fault. At that point you should have enough common sense to realize what the real world requires, which is not you sitting on your ass playing games. If you work for a living and spend the rest of your time playing games, fine, as long as you're productive.
For anyone between 18-21 its a bit of a grey area. This is the time where people generally ruin their lives. You're on your own, no parents, no real grap on the world yet. Look at the stats of where people ruin their credit. Its in that area for the majority. In this case, its STILL the parent's fault, imo, because they should instill some sort of teachings in them so they don't turn out like this.
I'm not saying this addiction isn't real. When FFXI first came out, I spent a year saving up money JUST to play it (I was a kid back then). I hadn't even played an MMO before that and I was addicted but it didn't ruin me, thanks to good parenting. I have a job, a degree, a fiance, and an apartment and I still play MMOs hours on end.

This is unfortunate but I understand where you are coming from. I enjoy having groups mostly because a lot of quests have unnecessary things that are there just to make it longer (like 5 mobs hording around the thing u need to pick up). Having a friend makes going through that faster. Unfortunately, a lot of time you meet those people who believe everything must be done a certain way. If you have this soul you BETTER have that soul and points put in this place and they criticize everything whether you ask them for it or not. It annoys me to and its hard to weed out those to get to the actual polite people but thats the state of the internet. Act smart or look as dumb as you are.
May 11th 2011 11:49AM Probably this one moment in WoW where a few of my guildies were doing dalies in Tol Barad Peninsula. Another guild from the opposing faction came along and destroyed us while we were busy with mobs. They sat by the respawn point and waited for us. As soon as we respawned, we got back into the fight. While the other two in my group dealt with their Paladin, I managed to destroy their Mage, a DK and a Druid, all of which were attacking me. I guess they thought the Shadow Priest was an easy target. Wrong.
May 2nd 2011 5:27PM I don't think its as much about the Hate as it is the fact that they make u cast it twice, and personally I think they do it on purpose. I play both a Paladin and Priest (among others) and I cant imagine why other tanks do that. I never have a problem getting/holding hate when I have the bubble (as long as the other DPS don't go trying to solo their own mobs and completely opening up on them instead of killing the marked target first).
Apr 6th 2011 5:37PM @(Unverified) I personally dont give a damn about the lawsuit but if we're lucky it will bring back the much superior 2K series of football games.
Mar 25th 2011 11:40AM GB is easy. The only one I've had any type of problem in has been Blackrock Caverns. Someone ALWAYS either gets transformed or lets one of the mobs transform and if I'm not tanking we wipe. I say that cuz in my sucessful groups, the only time we dont wipe if one transforms is if I grab it, pop some CD's and we burn the shit out of it and thats only guild groups.
Mar 25th 2011 11:34AM Who cares about Figget now? He's a Gnome.
Mar 25th 2011 11:32AM It is what it is. They CANT give DK's or Warriors a Humanoid CC ability. It would unbalance PvP. I mean think about it. DK's already have a snare and death grip along with a bubble that makes them immune to spells, minions and some of the strongest attacks in the game. Combine that with a full CC ability and what is a class like Priest to do vs a DK?
Yeah I know, PvP isn't based around 1v1 but when I'm in groups of dozens like in TB, I immediately get targeted as a Warlock and I pop every tool I can to counter DK's. They Snare me, I teleport. They Grip me, I Deat Coil them and then fear. At that point all they can do is wait on CD's and pop their shield while i run for it and hit em with DoT's and try fear while hoping someone is paying attention and helps me kill it. Give them a CC to go on top of that and I lose just about every time. It's even worse for priests who have even less mobility than I do and I know this because I play a priest too.
Warriors already have too many stuns and closers to be getting a CC ability on top of that. They just wont do it without taking something valuable away.
