How to fix professions for Mists of Pandaria: An open letter to Blizzard {WoW}

Mar 12th 2012 3:49PM Agree that crafting tokens should drop from end boss LFR. On low pop servers like mine current- tier craftables have no market because the tokens cost too much.
Also, each tier there should be one item slot only available from crafting... I vote belt or boots. Make recipe purchasable with the raid drop tokens, or valor tokens, so AH characters that don't raid can have access to recipes.
One more... Leatherworking is too expensive. Drop leather requirements on recipes. This will hurt skinners, so make all weapon recipes require leather. .This will hurt blacksmith so drop metal requirements in weapons. (Every tier, release recipe for previous- tier weapons to keep up demand.) This will Hurt miners which will not matter because JC's will continue to buy ore in huge quantities.

Totem Talk: Enhancement buffs and debuffs in Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Mar 10th 2012 8:48PM This was covered in different dev water cooler, but the biggest buff I see is them adding spell hit to expertise. We'll be able to reforge more into mastery (or whatever secondary stat is best in MOP, in wrath it was haste), because the hit cap will be much easier to reach. And with hunters needing it we'll see expertise on non-set mail finally.

Mar 1st 2012 10:35PM Honestly they should have killed expertise back when ArPen went away. Exp reduces chance of miss by dodge, parry, or block... As a dude swinging an axe, how would I miss if the bad guy doesn't do one of those three things? Hit rating literally reduces chance I'd miss a motionless unarmed target with no shield. Tell me why I need both stats???? Keep hit, kill expertise.

Mar 1st 2012 10:22PM The way it's worded it does look like casters would be able to use expertise, as they only care about negating spell hit. However, my guess is that expertise will only be on items with agil or strength. So if casters want to gem/enchant for exp, be our guest, because it looks like it would be equivalent to hit for casters. Expertise being a red gem means nobody would gem that way. As an enhance shaman, I am thrilled.... I only have hit cap of 7.5% now instead of 17%, as capping exp will cover the rest of way to spell hit cap. As a side note, the power idea looks awesome... No more complaining about Dragonwrath Guy pwning arena.

Breakfast Topic: What do you think about the current Raid Finder loot rules? {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 2:10PM Easier option.. You lose need+ bonus if you've already won something In that instance. This would stop people from needing legs when they really want shoulders. If you get a tier piece for off spec, fine, but no more need rolls this instance. That has to be easier to code than an inventory scanner.

The Queue: Heart of the Aspects {WoW}

Feb 15th 2012 1:41PM @bobby earl...
The problem for enhance shaman is that attack speed doesn't help us much. It increases auto attack damage and maelstrom stacks, but many of our big damage sources are not improved. Our weapon imbue procs, lava lash, unleash weapon, stormstrike, and searing totem are not affected at all by haste. The odd thing is, in wrath it was our best stat, because lightning bolt with 5 maelstrom stacks was our hardest hitting ability. Now that lightning bolt fell down the priority list, haste and bloodlust sucks for us. I frequently waste maelstrom stacks waiting for LB's turn in the priority list to come up. (related our 4 piece bonus as useless as it looks?)

Breakfast Topic: How do you handle real-life interruptions? {WoW}

Feb 12th 2012 9:11AM I play with constant threat of interruption from my 2 kids, as my wife hates my involvement in wow who a passion and would never agree to watch them while I raid. So I only play when my kids AND wife are asleep, and pretty much have to drop group when the youngest wakes up crying. This is why I love LFR so much, as raiding was damned near impossible before. I have no problem dropping group, they can replace me in a few seconds. If kiddo goes right back to sleep, I'll requeue as healer for shorter queue.

Breakfast Topic: What is WoW's most lucrative profession? {WoW}

Jan 23rd 2012 11:14AM "lot of relisting effort" was the exhausting part. Just emptying mailbox took forever. I was scared away from TSM by the 2-or-3 part how-to series that Basil did on gold capped articles, it looked very complicated. I found a nice flow with JC with 2-5 cuts of each color and about 9 cuts meta. I'm up to 350k gold now and kinda bored with gold making, yay for raid finder giving me something else to do.

Breakfast Topic: What is WoW's most lucrative profession? {WoW}

Jan 23rd 2012 8:58AM Ive had most luck with jc, but it only works if paired with transmute alch or ench. The low quality gems don't sell on ah so you need to turn them into ench mats or meta gems to see the real profits. I know Fox loves inscription, and it maybe ok if only selling trinkets and fortunes, but I found selling glyphs exhausting... Too many different products to list to be fun.

Breakfast Topic: What's the most useless ability in World of Warcraft? {WoW}

Dec 22nd 2011 8:26AM Frostbrand weapon is preferred main hand imbue for pvp enhance. Check out the "frozen power" talent. I would think far sight is least used shaman ability.
