Jan 2nd 2012 2:59PM Anyone been having problems convincing their healing leads that it's just a waste having the paladin tank heal when the raid is stacked up?
I really can't seem to convince them that someone else should be tank healing since we have the most potent raid healing, while others are as good/better than us at tank healing.
Oh and the Skrillex line was good ^^
Dec 31st 2011 6:46AM If you are struggling to beat an enrage timer, having a tank or healer do 2k more dps is just as effective as having the dps do 2k more dps :)
Dec 31st 2011 6:41AM Blizz have said the plan is to have a casted bubble with no weakened soul like debuff I think. I guess this would replace Heal for disc priests but with the obvious flavour of being a bubble :)
Dec 29th 2011 2:55AM By the way on the first boss I've never seen a group kill the ice tomb, I think it breaks anyway when you push her to 30% :)
And God I hate the second boss on my mage, despite the damage buff I do maybe 60% of my usual damage on her.
Dec 24th 2011 2:30AM EDIT: To be clear you should easily have 180k health as a tank, I don't see why it's a problem to soak it. Maybe you don't have your divine protection glyphed? Without the glyph it'll do exactly 240k damage.
Dec 24th 2011 2:26AM You need 180k health+absorbs to soak hour of twilight, I soak everyone on my holy paladin with the resto shaman health buff and 2 divine light's worth of mastery shield.
Dec 23rd 2011 10:58PM For searing plasma it really is key to the fight for healers
Let's consider each phase to be each plate blow off
At the start of each phase you'll have 4 (the first phase) or 3 (after each plate knockoff) tentacles shooting out debuffs, which means by the time you go for a roll most of your raid will probably have the debuff on them, I've found you want to use a tranquility or spirit link to get them all off easily as soon as the corruptions die, this means you won't spend the rest of the fight playing catch up.
Spirit link is the single best spell in the game for getting rid of these debuffs, and you should use it for this if you have it available, it may as well be a mass dispel for anyone standing in it.
The important thing is to get the timing right, you don't want to be falling behind on debuffs or you'll never catch up, and if you do it'll be at the expense of a lot of mana, the idea is to be getting rid of debuffs at the same rate as they get applied.
And remember because of all the extra small adds this fight will get more intensive as it goes on, I suggest using a concentration pot during the killing of the second burning tendon if you are using conc pots :) Don't be afraid to blow all your cooldown during the last phase, it doesn't last very long because of all the bloods hanging around.
Dec 23rd 2011 4:49AM Bloody hell I finally just downloaded RSA >.<
Guess I'll start looking through the code to get used to it so I can keep it up to date myself when it breaks.
Fortunately I'm fine with the combat event code it's just I don't really do graphical interfaces.
Dec 21st 2011 3:22AM Why the blue for shaman?
Dec 21st 2011 3:08AM 3 healers average ilvl 379 on 10 man normal? I've only done it on 25 not 10 but if you're standing under the boss and using cooldowns that definitely shouldn't be a problem, it must be one or more of you doing something slightly off in terms of spell usage or mana management. Logs would be fantastic but I'm guessing you don't run them, there's not really much I can say without seeing how the three of you are healing.
How much hps are you each pulling according to recount/skada? You can't glean too much from raw hps but it's better than nothing :)
P.S. Your pally is using one one orange gem, his meta probably isn't active.
