Jan 26th 2011 11:10PM I was wondering if someone else was going to mention the dryads. One of my favorite mobs to MC. The DPS output isn't much, but the fact they shoot a bow allows me to down the little seedlings while the rest take out the vine, and oh, need a quick heal, no problem, Hit the AoE heal and let MC break. She dies fast. It's nice.
Jan 12th 2011 9:44PM So, it turns out all I needed to do was click to the next page in my Google search. I found a nice post on Shadowpriest.com that talks about all of the different MC'able mobs in Cata dungeons. This link: http://www.shadowpriest.com/viewtopic.php?p=245158#p245158 takes you to a post about half way through the topic where someone was nice enough to consolidate most of the mobs into one post.
Jan 12th 2011 9:34PM Heroic Throne of Tides...The Shaman type Naga's, when MC'd allowed me to pull 30-35k DPS, and that was with the tank and DPS fighting and was higher on the next pull when they just let me have fun. I've started begging tanks to let me MC. :D
It also works very well in Halls of Origination on the boss that has the Dryad and the Flower pod thing. I MC pull the Dryad and use her Shooting action (bow and arrow) to help DPS down the stalk and fuzzy ball, and the seed pods. Since she's also the source of heals for the NPC's, they don't get healed and it's nice and quick. Now I've only done this in regular HoO, but I'm sure it would work fine in Heroic as well.
On a side note, has anyone seen, or put together, a list of all of the MC'able mobs in Cata dungeons?
Jan 7th 2011 7:41PM @Aedus - I didn't think about that. It's not really a rotation spell at all is it? that was really throwing me off.
@Jiffah - Thanks for that. I would never have thought about that.
Jan 5th 2011 8:35PM I love, love, love, my shadow priest. I got to spend a bit of time in the Beta during October and November and realized coming into the expansion that it was going to be a difficult run. So I took the time to grind out rep, for rings, chest, boots, etc., and get everything I could from regular instances first. Yes, mana conservation is an issue, but...With Dark Archangel, the dispersion glyph, and my shadowfiend...I can last pretty much indefinitely in a fight and still pull 10k plus on a heroic boss fight all with an average ilvl of 338.
That being said, I really dislike the new DPS option of Mind Spike. I have not been able to figure out how to work it into my rotation and make it work. Has anyone written a guide, recently, on how they've been able to integrate Mind Spike into their rotation?
I'm so glad I found this website. And I'm loving the articles. Thanks for keeping us informed and up to date.
