Breakfast Topic: Have you spotted your own game design ideas in game? {WoW}

Mar 11th 2011 10:04AM Well, when me my brother and my brother-in-law talk about WoW (now only one of us plays it though), we often think of design ideas etc just for the sake of it. My brother in law was annoyed before Wrath came out thinking that the new level 80 ability is going to be (for Paladin's, his main) an angel of some sort that does:
1. A damage dealer for ret.
2. A healer for Holy.
3. A w/e for Tank (absorbs damage? Vague memory).

Yep...
Pretty close I'd imagine.

Drama Mamas: The case of the underage scammer {WoW}

Feb 25th 2011 10:20AM Self awareness would have been more helpful at this point. Since we know not what you had said to him and the tone he / she must have taken it, any specification one of us makes if probably wrong.

I been looking at Athene's Theory on Everything for quite a while, it's amazing. And the self-awareness only takes place after the action. You probably did not think about what you was doing - only how to do it / how to go about it. You can't reverse it now, if you did go overboard, you probably taught him something, but in future you can put moderation on. Good luck Ironically Remorseful.

Breakfast Topic: What pop figures deserve an Easter egg in WoW? {WoW}

Feb 12th 2011 8:36AM I would love to see a.. er.. "bigger nod" to Stargate. Colonel Carter, General O'neill, Teal'c and Dr. Daniel Jackson have been added in the Stormwind PvP and Gem buying area (forgot the name), with lsightly different names all related to their references.

It would be cool to see the characters from, say, Atlantis being put into it, maybe in the next expansion if it were something like the Emerald Dream and you're literally stranded (like the first Season of Atlantis), they would be the "guys in charge".

Oh sugar.
I got my hopes up.

The sudden yet inevitable betrayal of gaming immersion {WoW}

Jan 8th 2011 10:19AM I personally love the references, it gives a deep feeling of WoW depriving from Earth (which even lore is related) and is very nice to finally watch a movie or something and see "Wait..." like I have done one or two times before!

Also, I am no fan of Firefly however I'm interested in learning about it since I watch Stargate and 3 actors from Firefly are on it (whilst I can also name 2 actors from the new Battlestar Galactica series in Stargate). Sci-fi series are connected through actors
