Mar 17th 2012 10:03PM I have a question. Isn't it illegal to use anthropomorphic cartoon animals to sell your addictive product to unsuspecting and defenseless little kids? Mists of Joe camel has a nice ring to it.
Mar 16th 2012 10:54AM Another gold-sink option would be a portable auction house. Obviously, it would appeal to people who play the AH.
Feb 12th 2012 10:13PM I very much appreciate this article. officerchat.org did a nice series a while back on how to evaluate healers using world of logs. I have run into too many healers who only want to be evaluated on whether or not they kept their assignment alive. They have low hps but swear up and down they can do more when the time comes. Inevitably, when we DO hit the hard fight, they can't pick it up as much as they thought they could. Casting more is always better than doing nothing. Even on the easy parts, you'll save mana by casting more holy lights instead of half as many divine lights.
The point of this article isn't spreadsheets. The point is to cast MOAR healing spells, and how to know if you, or that new guy you picked up, are working hard enough. DPS have no reason, no excuse, to ever stop casting (except on spine). Healers should try to do the same.
Jan 29th 2012 4:56PM This has happened to me. I won the roll and didn't get the loot, so I submitted a ticket. After the raid was over I went back to the boss and found it sitting on his body and I picked it up. I updated my ticket, but Blizzard still responded to my ticket to tell me this happens if you are no longer in the same zone as the boss when the loot is distributed.
Jan 28th 2012 3:47PM Sooo can I use hand of protection to prevent impaled dmg on my tank? Followed by hand if salve to remove the bubble?
Jan 28th 2012 3:44PM Healers often pull aggro on adds. Tanks can just taunt off them; but as a holy paladin I will hand of protection them if I see it first.
Jan 26th 2012 12:31PM Go to elitist jerks resto shaman forum. Right at the top is the diamond compression level guide. Two paragraphs. A spec and what spells to cast. Go!
Jan 24th 2012 1:59PM Loot eligibility is not determined by tank/heal/dos role. It is according to class. Paladins are eligible for plate. Shamans for mail. Both will be eligible for a caster ring. Only the paladin for a tank shield.
Jan 18th 2012 6:41PM There is another way to get started in pvp that will guarantee some early success. Pick a class specifically for pvp. Buy all the heirlooms that class can possibly use, including the pvp trinket. Don't forget to buy the honor shoulders and weapons. You cam buy honor points at the justice vendor. Then start from the ground floor and level through the bgs. It's fun, and you won't be working uphill against better geared AND more skilled opponents all the time.
