Sunday Morning Funnies: It's a ship! {WoW}

Apr 2nd 2012 11:50AM So...this has been bugging me for a while now...Why do you guys just include a link to Guilded Age's current comic, and not to the the oldest one since the last SMFunnies?

Two Bosses Enter: Murozond vs. Queen Azshara {WoW}

Mar 27th 2012 2:25AM But...but...he IZ Aspeckt.

All seriousness aside, he was prepared for this fight with Azshara. Throughout their measly existence, Murzond has been undermining the mages' lives. From removing pelts from bears before they could be looted to phasing the herbs they needed for the queen's cocktail, Murozond has been preparing his enemies for failure. That magic teacher that taught them a spell that "should" nullify time-magic but actually amplifies it? An Infinite Tutor. That tailor who sewed their boots with an automatic shoelace-tying mechanism? An Infinite tailor. At the most probable moment in this fight, Murozond will collapse this great ball of wibbley-wobbley timey-wimey stuff around their throats.

For these mortals, time...has run out. /dragonsunglasses

Shifting Perspectives: Mega moonkin, fabu ferals, and Symbiosis specs {WoW}

Mar 26th 2012 1:53AM When you take a picture of increased size, please include something the average player can use for reference to figure out just how big your toon is. I like to use mailboxes or the org AH for that purpose.

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Mists of Pandaria beta impressions {WoW}

Mar 24th 2012 7:34PM Storm Bolt: "What does a warrior do when he can't hit a monster in the face because it's flying? He hits in the face because it's flying."

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Mists of Pandaria beta impressions {WoW}

Mar 24th 2012 7:28PM Dragon Roar seems like something warriors have been missing thematically for a very long time. I really loved Warrior t13, as I feel warriors and dragons go hand-in-hand. Maybe this could be the new direction that makes players fall in love with warriors all over again? A sound-based class could be incredibly entertaining. (We already have battle shout, commanding shout, demoralizing shout, intimidating shout, challenging, rallying cry, and piercing howl...I suppose Thunder Clap is still counted as a shout (even though it's more of a war stomp), Shockwave also has an audio component (which locks it out if you get silenced).

I do not, however, agree that Dragon Roar should be a level 60 talent, as it seems far too cool.

Now, my impressions of the war banners: I like them. 1) you don't HAVE to use war banners. 2) You can intervene to them! 3) Except for the skull banner (which is more of a DPS cooldown), Banners serve as group utility cooldowns, which are A-OK in my book. 4) They are attractive to all specs.

The last tier, 90, has me worried. In my opinion, these abilities are not sufficiently awesome enough. Here is why, broken down by talent:

Avatar: Not only has this been a long time coming, it shows blizzard understands a warrior's desire to be a larger combatant then the rest. However, I feel this talent is far too burst and could use a shorter cooldown with reduced effect. Alternatively, I would like to see this function a bit like shadowmourne, gaining size, damage, and rage generation by 2.5/5/7% every second, up to a maximum of +25% damage, +50% rage generation, and +75% size (I want to be bigger than vrykul!). When you reach the 10th second, the effect ends, but your next HS or Cleave is free. This could add some skill-related usage, where you could line up trinkets/cooldowns for the last 5 seconds or so.

Bloodbath: This feels like no choice for arms warriors as we are now. For fury, this could be a strong choice, although it hardly fits thematically. For protection, which does not focus on damage caused, this does not offer any tactical advantage other than damage. If it were to, perhaps, cause rend, thunder clap, Hamstring, and demoralizing shout over the course of 12 seconds, I would find it more useful.

Storm Bolt: I loved Mountain Kings in WC3, but our only ranged option on a 30-second cooldown? Blasphemy. This feels like heroic throw with a stun. My 3-part solution: 1) Give warriors Auto-shoot with bows, crossbows, and guns (alternatively, make your weapon boomerang back to you), and cause each shot to generate a little rage. 2) Lower the CD to 10 seconds and the stun to 1.5, add a rage cost. 3) add a little AoE damage (no stun). With this in place, it functions much more like a Rogue's Shuriken toss (which is a perfect example of a melee talent with ranged down-time/opener implications)

In its current incarnation, every warrior I make would take Avatar over the other 2 options. My reasoning is that the other talents do not seem to make for compelling talents.

Mists of Pandaria Beta: Livestreaming the Wandering Isle {WoW}

Mar 23rd 2012 5:30PM Luckily, i have noscript, so all your spoiling videos don't even show me a screen with a panda. Just a little arrow to accept the javascript.

But please, include spoiler tags.

The Queue: I went Alliance again. Shhh. {WoW}

Mar 18th 2012 3:45PM That would be a LOT of fun. As long as they balance group composition.

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Toolkits and themes {WoW}

Mar 17th 2012 7:23PM I want to see something where we can convert rage directly into untargeted speed. "bursting muscles" they could call it. Fact of the matter is: warlocks and warriors are the only classes without movement speed buffs. Damn pallies took it already though.

Another Mists daily screenshot appears on WoW community site {WoW}

Mar 15th 2012 7:48AM I'm thinking it might be a sha/old-god-influenced Shu'halo. If you've read the lore: "As the children of the earth roamed the fields of dawn, they harkened to dark whispers from deep beneath the world. The whispers told the children of the arts of war and deceit. Many of the Shu'halo fell under the shadow's sway and embraced the ways of malice and wickedness. They turned upon their pure brethren and left their innocence to drift upon the plains. "

The red eyes may even lend credence to this claim. The heavy use of skulls of and spikes is also not a common thing in regular Shu'halo lifestyle, nor is it akin to Taunka design. However, we do see two common recurring element in all 3: smaller, hut-like structures, typically indicative of a semi-permanent camp/village; as well as the three-sailed grain mill. This difference in design suggests these two pictured to be of the southern, potentially corrupted Tauren.

If my theory holds true, I would LOVE to see a "council of the three war-totems or something akin to a summit where we all decide to go on a mad-cow rampage and become our own faction of warstomping fun. I kid, I kid.

On another note, check out that HUGE skull! Looks like these guys get pretty large...

Is reforging a hit or a miss? {WoW}

Mar 13th 2012 12:28AM This, a thousand times this! If some addon developer can make a preview feature, bliz could do it better.
