Nov 15th 2011 11:25AM Second! Or switch all paladins to spell plate
Nov 1st 2011 4:19PM So I guess you measure greatness by how short your queue times are? Or maybe by sitting in Org or SW flaming some kid in trade because he is trying join your pug raid but doesn't have the achievement to prove himself worthy.
I miss epic class quest lines, seeing people in raid gear because they actually raided and not farmed 5 man content for tier gear and an actual server community.
And I even miss attunements. Do I miss being forced to raid as holy when I would have rather been ret? No. But that still happens now because it's what the guild needs.
Nov 1st 2011 3:23PM Like Lur said I used to love some of the small pop culture references. WoW is turning into the MTV of MMOs. Just a shell of it's former glory and full of junk forgetting what made it great.
I'm hoping GW2 can bring back that sense of community, grand scale and something I look forward to playing after a long day.
Just my opinion.
Oct 22nd 2011 4:32AM I would like to see them move towards end game normal dungeons be what heroic dungeons are now with the heroic versions be more like 5-man raids with dungeon sets for more the "casual" player. With this model I would grab a couple of my close friends (via guild or realid) and spend an hour or two in a true heroic mode instance. The rewards would be dungeon sets and justice points for gear appropriate to my level of play.
The 10-25 man raiders who spend their time in that next step in difficult content should have their tier gear and valor points respectively. The dungeon gear and justice points awarded to the "dungeon raider" would position him/her with the opportunity to step up and try 10-25 man content without too large of a gear gap.
I just don't aggree with rushing through content. I know a lot of people eat through it in a few days but that is probably less than 1% of the population. Make content hard. Have people take the time to go through dungeons, craft better gear, and work to making their character better. I honestly think if you make content "hard" you won't have people sitting in Org/SW waiting for their queue to pop on their way to better gear. IMHOT the server community would benefit greatly from it.
Sep 3rd 2011 12:24PM 20 bucks says Matt Rossi is playing closed beta Guild Wars 2. Where else would his last two articles come from? If you are Matty, I'm so insanely jealous of you sir.
Jun 11th 2011 8:18PM Question for the Q,
I'm in the military and getting stationed overseas and I have been shopping around for alliance guilds that are based in the EU but play on US servers. Can any of you guys help with that because all my google and forum searches don't land me very far. Thanks!
Apr 6th 2011 4:54PM Something for the Q,
I had an idea for those of us who wish we could use old school gear skins on the latest ilvl stuff. How about the use of heroic tokens and/or valor points to purchase a scroll to take to a BS/tailor/LW... etc along with the old gear piece (i.e. Judgement shoulders) to have the piece upgraded. Such a thing may be extremely hard code wise but its an idea for maybe a later patch or the next Xpac.
P.S. Team Fox FTW
Mar 30th 2011 4:41PM I should have been more descriptive in my original post. It is not a complaint about the length of time in queue. It is about a broken queue system as in something is wrong with it not functioning properly. I have queued for either a random BG or Call To Arms and had for example an average queue time of 4 minutes. 10 minutes later after waiting I leave the queue and requeue again only to have the same problem. I would relog or requeue multiple times to fix the issue. So I decided to read on the official forums if this issue has been occurring with other folks in the game and it has. So far I have read multiple threads from Horde players about how they have had the exact same issue without a reply from Blizzard at least acknowledging that such an issue may exist in the game.
I tested how long I could sit in the queue before the dungeon would pop so I queued up and pulled out my fishing pole. 45 minutes later I couldn't wait any longer and I just dropped the queue.
That is the issue. Not QQ about faction size, exploits, game imbalance or anything else. Just a simple, "why when I queue it does not work correctly? Anyone?"
