Mar 6th 2012 6:09PM I hadn't ever considered gender as an important factor in the editing of a UI. When I compared mine to my boyfriend's, his was actually more aimed to what was aesthetically pleasing where mine was more about functionality.
So, while I love Rinji's UI, I wouldn't have that color thingy. It would, in my mind, interfere with my view of the screen. But otherwise, it looks good.
Mar 6th 2012 11:45AM I keep wishing we had a /shun emote. /Shoo is alright but it's be really nice to have something that's the equivalent of 'talk to the hand.' And I totally agree with an earlier suggestion- we need a /die. With animation.
And more /silly! Especially for the human females. 'Cause none of those are really very silly... :/
Jan 31st 2012 7:49PM It's always disappointing to see and hear that people judge an entire song based on an artist in it WITHOUT LISTENING. Some will claim they've heard her in the past and didn't like, so they skip... other people haven't heard Gigi before, but read the comments and decide to skip it too.
No no, don't give it a chance or anything.
This song had solid flow. It was easy to follow and understand. Yes, it's about pwning noobs- OH NOES! In WoW, that's just kinda the way things go. Would you really jam and sing along to a song about leveling cooking. "Awww yeah, I'm level 52! Gonna farm some more to make more stew! I'm better than you and you know it's true, all you baddie noobs, whacha gonna do? Ooooo!"
It's the same reason why a lot of pop songs are about being popular in clubs- it's not 100% because the artist has an ego, it's also because that's what people want to sing about too. When you sing along to a song, you're pretending for a minute that you're also that person.
And in WoW, you'd wanna be that person who's got million, billion, trillion stacks of HKs.
So yeah. I liked this.
And I think that if you dislike this, perhaps you could comment about what you would change... be helpful and stuff. I know you get annoyed when you hear another Gigi fan say, "Why don't you do better?" because we say that a lot. But have you ever thought that maybe we feel the same when you say, "Disliked 'cause it's Gigi"? 'Cause you say that a lot too.
Jan 13th 2012 3:47AM Thank you so so much for the interview. It was totally an honor. :)
Nov 24th 2011 3:59AM Ummm, that's weird. There was a nice, long reply to your constructive criticism but it vanished...
In short, I'll watch my timing in future songs (the first draft of this one was longer. @_@ glad I shortened it!) and I personally felt that the Horseman was in-time for the song EXCEPT that one line ("I will send you myself to the lifeless dark.") but thank you for pointing out that the timing felt off. ^^
Wait, Mom was supposed to tell me not to do that voice?
Oct 15th 2011 5:49AM I am still very subscribed to WoW.
This had me laughing and smiling the whole way through. Some parts are true, some I disagree with, but it never came across as truly whiney to me. It seemed a lot more like it was poking fun at the way Blizzard handles complaints and the way players complain.
It reminded me of the April Fools patch notes that come out year to year- there's a little bit of truth, but it's meant to be funny and entertaining.
Jun 20th 2011 3:58PM Arthas with his dog playing fetch is still my favorite. ^^ And I think these are a rather fun and unique idea.
Or, if they're not unique, please take into account that I live under a rock.
Jun 17th 2011 3:50PM I'm with this as well. Two things need to happen. First, the GM should let Y know that their consistant flirting is making guild members uncomfortable and that such flirting should be a private thing. Second, X needs to tell Y that they're uncomfortable with it. It's very very very immature to ask someone else to turn a flirt down for you. Last I checked, we were supposed to grow out of that in middle school.
Ultimately, it really should be between X and Y, and the GM's only role should be as a consultant. Not a mediator, not a jury, and not a judge. It's something they should work out with each other like the adults I'm assuming they are.
Jun 17th 2011 1:08PM *contain, sorry. Was thinking of both "consist" and "contain". Managed to write both.
